耶和華為你的緣故也向我發怒，說：『你必不得進入那地。

說：「我現在一百二十歲了，不能照常出入；耶和華也曾對我說：『你必不得過這約旦河。』

他們在米利巴水又叫耶和華發怒，甚至摩西也受了虧損，是因他們惹動他的靈，摩西用嘴說了急躁的話。

耶和華對他說：「這就是我向亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓應許之地，說：『我必將這地賜給你的後裔。』現在我使你眼睛看見了，你卻不得過到那裏去。」

對所羅門說：「我兒啊，我心裏本想為耶和華－我神的名建造殿宇，只是耶和華的話臨到我說：『你流了多人的血，打了多次大仗，你不可為我的名建造殿宇，因為你在我眼前使多人的血流在地上。你要生一個兒子，他必作太平的人；我必使他安靜，不被四圍的仇敵擾亂。他的名要叫所羅門。他在位的日子，我必使以色列人平安康泰。

因為你們在尋的曠野，加低斯的米利巴水，在以色列人中沒有尊我為聖，得罪了我。我所賜給以色列人的地，你可以遠遠地觀看，卻不得進去。」

「你去告訴我僕人大衛，說耶和華如此說：『你不可建造殿宇給我居住。

耶和華曉諭摩西說：「你拿着杖去，和你的哥哥亞倫招聚會眾，在他們眼前吩咐磐石發出水來，水就從磐石流出，給會眾和他們的牲畜喝。」於是摩西照耶和華所吩咐的，從耶和華面前取了杖去。摩西、亞倫就招聚會眾到磐石前。摩西說：「你們這些背叛的人聽我說：我為你們使水從這磐石中流出來嗎？」摩西舉手，用杖擊打磐石兩下，就有許多水流出來，會眾和他們的牲畜都喝了。耶和華對摩西、亞倫說：「因為你們不信我，不在以色列人眼前尊我為聖，所以你們必不得領這會眾進我所賜給他們的地去。」

為這事，我三次求過主，叫這刺離開我。

他就稍往前走，俯伏在地，禱告說：「我父啊，倘若可行，求你叫這杯離開我。然而，不要照我的意思，只要照你的意思。」

耶和華對摩西說：「你上這亞巴琳山，觀看我所賜給以色列人的地。看了以後，你也必歸到你列祖那裏，像你哥哥亞倫一樣。因為你們在尋的曠野，當會眾爭鬧的時候，違背了我的命，沒有在湧水之地、會眾眼前尊我為聖。」（這水就是尋的曠野加低斯米利巴水。）

他必為我建造殿宇；我必堅定他的國位直到永遠。我要作他的父，他要作我的子；並不使我的慈愛離開他，像離開在你以前的掃羅一樣。

大衛王就站起來，說：「我的弟兄，我的百姓啊，你們當聽我言，我心裏本想建造殿宇，安放耶和華的約櫃，作為我神的腳凳；我已經預備建造的材料。只是神對我說：『你不可為我的名建造殿宇；因你是戰士，流了人的血。』然而，耶和華－以色列的神在我父的全家揀選我作以色列的王，直到永遠。因他揀選猶大為首領；在猶大支派中揀選我父家，在我父的眾子裏喜悅我，立我作以色列眾人的王。

哪知他為我們的過犯受害，為我們的罪孽壓傷。因他受的刑罰，我們得平安；因他受的鞭傷，我們得醫治。我們都如羊走迷；各人偏行己路；耶和華使我們眾人的罪孽都歸在他身上。

耶穌回答說：「你們不知道所求的是甚麼；我將要喝的杯，你們能喝嗎？」他們說：「我們能。」
