因为你们的缘故，耶和华也向我发怒，说：‘你也不能进入那地；

对他们说：“我现今一百二十岁，不能再照常出入了；耶和华也曾对我说：你必不得过这约旦河。

他们在米利巴水边惹耶和华发怒，以致摩西因他们的缘故也受了惩罚。因为他们抗拒神的灵（“他们抗拒神的灵”或译：“他们激动摩西的心”），摩西用嘴说出冒失的话。

耶和华对他说：“这就是我曾经向亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓应许之地，说：‘我要把这地赐给你的后裔。’现在我让你亲眼看见了，可是你不能过到那边去。”

只是耶和华的话临到我说：‘你流了许多人的血，打了很多大仗；你不可为我的名建造殿宇，因为你在我面前流了许多人的血在地上。看哪，你必生一个儿子；他是个和平的人，我必使他得享太平，不被四围所有的仇敌骚扰；他的名字要叫所罗门，他在位的日子，我必把太平和安宁赐给以色列人。他要为我的名建造殿宇；他要作我的儿子，我要作他的父亲；我必坚立他的国位，永远统治以色列。’

因为你们在寻的旷野，在加低斯米利巴水边，在以色列人中间悖逆我，在以色列人中间没有尊我为圣。我赐给以色列人的地，你可以从对面观看，却不得进去。”

“你去对我的仆人大卫说：‘耶和华这样说：你不可建殿给我居住。

耶和华对摩西说：“你要拿着杖，和你的哥哥亚伦聚集会众，在他们眼前，吩咐磐石出水；这样你就可以使磐石流出水来，给会众和他们的牲畜喝。”于是，摩西照着耶和华吩咐他的，从耶和华面前拿了杖去。摩西和亚伦聚集了会众到磐石面前；摩西对他们说：“悖逆的人哪，你们要听，我们为你们使水从磐石中流出来吗？”摩西举手，用杖击打磐石两次，就有很多水流出来，会众和他们的牲畜都喝了。耶和华对摩西和亚伦说：“因为你们不信我，不在以色列人眼前尊我为圣，所以你们必不得领这会众进入我赐给他们的地。”

为了这事，我曾经三次求主，使这根刺离开我。

他稍往前走，把脸俯伏在地上，祷告说：“我的父啊！可能的话，求你使这杯离开我；但不要照我的意思，只要照你的旨意。”

耶和华吩咐摩西说：“你要上这亚巴琳山去，看看我赐给以色列人的地。看了以后，你也必归到你的本族那里去，像你哥哥亚伦归去一样。因为在寻的旷野，会众争闹的时候，你们违背了我的命令，没有在涌水之地，在会众眼前尊我为圣。”这涌水之地在寻的旷野，就是加低斯的米利巴水。

他要为我建造殿宇，我必坚立他的王位，直到永远。我要作他的父亲，他要作我的儿子；我的慈爱必不离开他，像离开在你以前的那位一样；

大卫王站起来，说：“我的兄弟，我的人民哪，你们要听我的话；我心里有意要建造一所安放耶和华的约柜的殿宇，作我们的神的脚凳，并且我已经准备好要建造。可是神对我说：‘你不可为我的名建造殿宇，因为你是个战士，曾杀人流血。’然而耶和华以色列的神，在我父的全家拣选了我作以色列人的王，直到永远；因为他拣选了犹大作领袖；在犹大家中拣选了我的父家；在我父亲的众子中，他喜悦我，立我作全以色列的王；

然而他是为了我们的过犯被刺透，为了我们的罪孽被压伤；使我们得平安的惩罚加在他身上，因他受了鞭伤，我们才得医治。我们众人都如羊走迷了路，各人偏行己路；耶和华却把我们众人的罪孽，都归在他身上。

耶稣回答：“你们不知道你们求的是什么。我将要喝的杯，你们能喝吗？”他们说：“能。”
