But Jehovah was wroth with me for your sakes, and hearkened not unto me; and Jehovah said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.

但耶和華為了你們的緣故，向我發怒，不聽我的懇求；耶和華對我說：‘罷了，不要向我再提這事了。

但永恆主為了你們的緣故、卻向我震怒，不聽我；永恆主對我說；「罷了；再別向我重提這事了。

惟耶和華緣爾曹故怒我、不允我所求、諭我曰、如是足矣、勿以此事、再言於我、

耶和華緣爾曹怒我、不允我祈、乃告我曰、如是足矣、勿以此事再告於我、

主緣爾曹怒我、不允我所求、諭我曰、如是已矣、勿以此事再求於我、

But because of you the Lord was angry with me and would not listen to me.“ That is enough,” the Lord said.“ Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.

But the Lord was angry with me because of what you did. He wouldn’t listen to me.“ That is enough!” the Lord said.“ Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.

And he said unto them, I am a hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: and Jehovah hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

They angered him also at the waters of Meribah, So that it went ill with Moses for their sakes;Because they were rebellious against his spirit, And he spake unadvisedly with his lips.

And Jehovah said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.

And David said to Solomon his son, As for me, it was in my heart to build a house unto the name of Jehovah my God.But the word of Jehovah came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build a house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days:

because ye trespassed against me in the midst of the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.For thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither into the land which I give the children of Israel.

Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith Jehovah, Thou shalt not build me a house to dwell in:

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,Take the rod, and assemble the congregation, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes, that it give forth its water; and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock; so thou shalt give the congregation and their cattle drink.And Moses took the rod from before Jehovah, as he commanded him.And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; shall we bring you forth water out of this rock?And Moses lifted up his hand, and smote the rock with his rod twice: and water came forth abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their cattle.And Jehovah said unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed not in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.

Concerning this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

And he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mountain of Abarim, and behold the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered;because ye rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the waters before their eyes.( These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)

He shall build me a house, and I will establish his throne for ever.I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my lovingkindness away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee;

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: as for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and for the footstool of our God; and I had made ready for the building.But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build a house for my name, because thou art a man of war, and hast shed blood.Howbeit Jehovah, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be prince; and in the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel;

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink the cup that I am about to drink? They say unto him, We are able.
