“ The LORD was angry with me on your account. He swore that I would not cross the Jordan and enter the good land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.I won’t be crossing the Jordan because I am going to die in this land. and I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and to bring them from that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey— the territory of the Canaanites, Hethites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.

But the land you are entering to possess is a land of mountains and valleys, watered by rain from the sky.It is a land the LORD your God cares for. He is always watching over it from the beginning to the end of the year.

They said,“ If we have found favor with you, let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Don’t make us cross the Jordan.”

On that day I swore to them that I would bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land I had searched out for them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the most beautiful of all lands.
