「那時我吩咐他們，『你們的上帝耶和華已經把這些地方賜給你們，但你們所有的戰士必須帶著兵器過河，做同胞的先鋒。

“那時，我吩咐你們：‘耶和華你們的神，已經把這地賜給你們作產業了；你們所有的戰士，都要預備好，在你們的兄弟以色列人面前過河去。

『那時我吩咐你們說：「永恆主你們的上帝已將這地賜給你們去取得它；你們一切有力氣的人都要武裝好，好在你們族弟兄以色列人前面過去。

時、我命爾曰、爾上帝耶和華、既以斯土錫爾為業、爾之勇士、必皆執兵、先爾兄弟以色列人而往、

當時我諭之曰、爾之上帝耶和華雖以斯土錫爾、然爾之軍旅必備以戰、先爾同儕以色列族而遄征、

當時我諭爾曹得斯地之人曰、主爾之天主、既以斯地賜爾為業、爾中所有戰士必執器械、在爾同族同族原文作兄弟以色列人前先往、

I commanded you at that time:“ The Lord your God has given you this land to take possession of it. But all your able- bodied men, armed for battle, must cross over ahead of the other Israelites.

Here is the command I gave at that time to the tribes of Reuben and Gad and half of the tribe of Manasseh. I said,“ The Lord your God has given you this land as your very own. But all your strong men must be prepared for battle. They must cross over ahead of the rest of the Israelites.

“ And I commanded you at that time, saying,‘ The Lord your God has given you this land to possess. All your men of valor shall cross over armed before your brothers, the people of Israel.

“ At that time I gave this command to the tribes that would live east of the Jordan:‘ Although the Lord your God has given you this land as your property, all your fighting men must cross the Jordan ahead of your Israelite relatives, armed and ready to assist them.

“ I commanded you at that time: The LORD your God has given you this land to possess. All your valiant men will cross over in battle formation ahead of your brothers the Israelites.

“ Then I commanded you at that time, saying,‘ The Lord your God has given you this land to possess it; all you valiant men shall cross over armed ahead of your brothers, the sons of Israel.

“ Then I commanded you at that time, saying:‘ The Lord your God has given you this land to possess. All you men of valor shall cross over armed before your brethren, the children of Israel.

And I commanded you at that time, saying, Jehovah your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all the men of valor.

“ I commanded you at that time: The Lord your God has given you this land to possess. All your fighting men will cross over in battle formation ahead of your brothers the Israelites.

And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all[ that are] meet for the war.

At that time I instructed you as follows:“ The LORD your God has given you this land for your possession. You warriors are to cross over before your fellow Israelites equipped for battle.

I commanded you at that time, saying,“ Yahweh your God has given you this land to possess it. All of you men of valor shall pass over armed before your brothers, the children of Israel.

摩西對他們說：「你們若要這麼做，若要在耶和華面前帶着兵器出去打仗，你們中間所有帶兵器的人都要在耶和華面前過約旦河，直到耶和華把仇敵從他面前趕出去。那地在耶和華面前被征服以後，你們方可回來。這樣，你們向耶和華和以色列才算為無罪，這地也必在耶和華面前歸你們為業。倘若你們不這樣做，看哪，你們就得罪了耶和華，當知道你們的罪必找上你們。如今你們可以為孩童建城，為羊羣築圈，但你們口所講出來的話，必須實踐。」

呂便人、迦得人、瑪拿西半支派的人都照摩西所吩咐他們的，帶着兵器在以色列人的前面過去。約有四萬帶兵器的軍隊在耶和華面前過去，到耶利哥的平原，準備上陣。

此後，約書亞召了呂便人、迦得人和瑪拿西半支派的人來，對他們說：「耶和華的僕人摩西所吩咐你們的，你們都遵守了；我吩咐你們的話，你們也都聽從了。你們這許多日子，都沒有撇棄你們的弟兄，直到今日，並且遵守了耶和華你們上帝所吩咐的命令。如今耶和華－你們的上帝已經照着他所應許的，使你們的弟兄得享安寧。你們現在可以返回自己的帳棚，回到耶和華的僕人摩西在約旦河東所賜給你們為業之地。只是務要謹守遵行耶和華的僕人摩西所吩咐你們的誡命和律法，愛耶和華－你們的上帝，行他一切的道，守他的誡命，緊緊跟隨他，盡心盡性事奉他。」於是約書亞為他們祝福，送他們回去，他們就回到自己的帳棚去了。摩西在巴珊曾把地業分給瑪拿西的半支派；然後約書亞在約旦河的西岸，在他們弟兄中，又把地業分給瑪拿西的另外半支派。約書亞送他們回帳棚的時候，為他們祝福，對他們說：「你們要把許多財物，許多牲畜，和金、銀、銅、鐵，以及許多衣服，帶回你們的帳棚去，要把你們從仇敵奪來的東西分給你們的眾弟兄。」於是呂便人、迦得人、瑪拿西半支派的人從迦南地的示羅起行，離開以色列人，回到他們已得為業的基列地，就是他們照耶和華藉摩西所吩咐而得的。

約書亞對呂便人、迦得人和瑪拿西半支派的人說：「你們要記得耶和華的僕人摩西所吩咐你們的話說：『耶和華－你們的上帝使你們得享安寧，必將這地賜給你們。』你們的妻子、孩子和牲畜可以留在約旦河東、摩西所給你們的地。但你們中間所有大能的勇士都要帶着兵器，在你們的弟兄前面過去，你們要幫助他們。等到耶和華使你們的弟兄和你們一樣得享平靜，並且得着耶和華－你們上帝所賜他們為業之地的時候，你們才可以回到你們所得之地，承受為業，就是耶和華的僕人摩西在約旦河東、向日出的方向所給你們的地。」
