玛拿西半个支派的人住在那地，从巴珊直到巴力．黑门、示尼珥和黑门山，他们人数众多。以下这些人是他们各家族的族长：以弗、以示、以列、亚斯列、耶利米、何达威雅和雅叠；他们都是英勇的战士，著名的人物，也是各家族的族长。他们背弃了他们列祖的神，随从当地民族的神行邪淫；神曾从他们面前消灭了这些民族。因此，以色列的神激动了亚述王普勒的心，就是亚述王提革拉．毗尼色的心，他就把流本支派、迦得支派和玛拿西半个支派的人掳到哈腊、哈博和哈拉，以及歌散河边，他们的后裔直到今日还在那里。

摩西把产业分给玛拿西半个支派，是按着玛拿西半个支派的家族分给他们的。他们的境界是从玛哈念起，包括巴珊全地、巴珊王噩的全国，并且在巴珊的睚珥的所有村落，共六十座城，还有基列的一半和亚斯他录、以得来，就是在巴珊，噩的王国的两座城，都是按着家族分给玛拿西的儿子玛吉的孙子，就是分给玛吉的一半孙子。以上这些地方是摩西在约旦河东，耶利哥对面的摩押平原所分配的产业。
