能听的耳，能看的眼，二者都为耶和华所造。

他说：“你去告诉这百姓说：‘你们听了又听，却不明白；看了又看，却不晓得。’要使这百姓心蒙油脂，耳朵发沉，眼睛昏花；恐怕他们眼睛看见，耳朵听见，心里明白，回转过来，就得医治。”

他们心地昏昧，因自己无知，心里刚硬而与上帝所赐的生命隔绝了。

耶和华啊，你为何使我们偏离你的道，使我们心里刚硬、不敬畏你呢？求你为你的仆人，为你产业的支派而回转。

你们为什么不明白我的话呢？无非是你们听不进我的道。

但希实本王西宏不肯让我们从他那里经过，因为耶和华—你的上帝使他性情顽梗，内心刚硬，为要把他交在你手中，像今日一样。

我也要赐给你们一颗新心，将新灵放在你们里面，又从你们的肉体中除掉石心，赐给你们肉心。

这是要应验以赛亚先知所说的话：“主啊，我们所传的有谁信呢？主的膀臂向谁显露呢？”他们所以不能信，因为以赛亚又说：“主使他们瞎了眼，使他们硬了心，免得他们眼睛看见，他们心里明白，回转过来，我会医治他们。”

并且在那沉沦的人身上行各样不义的诡诈，因为他们不领受爱真理的心，好让他们得救。故此，上帝就给他们一个引发错误的心，叫他们信从虚谎，使一切不信真理、倒喜爱不义的人都被定罪。

然而直到今日，每逢诵读摩西书的时候，面纱还在他们心上。

耶稣回答他们说：“因为天国的奥秘只让你们知道，不让他们知道。凡有的，还要给他，让他有余；凡没有的，连他所有的也要夺去。我之所以用比喻对他们讲，是因为他们看却看不清，听却听不见，也不明白。在他们身上，正应验了以赛亚的预言：‘你们听了又听，却不明白，看了又看，却看不清。因为这百姓的心麻木，耳朵发沉，眼睛闭着，免得眼睛看见，耳朵听见，心里明白，回转过来，我会医治他们。’

他说：‘你去对这百姓说：你们听了又听，却不明白；看了又看，却看不清。因为这百姓的心麻木，耳朵塞着，眼睛闭着，免得眼睛看见，耳朵听见，心里明白，回转过来，我会医治他们。’

那又怎么说呢？以色列人所寻求的，他们没有得着。但是蒙拣选的人得着了，其余的人却成了顽梗不化的。如经上所记：“上帝给他们昏沉的灵，眼睛看不见，耳朵听不到，直到今日。”大卫也说：“愿他们的宴席变为罗网，变为陷阱，变为绊脚石，作他们的报应。愿他们的眼睛昏花，看不见；愿你时常弯下他们的腰。”

人被诱惑，不可说：“我是被上帝诱惑”；因为上帝是不被恶诱惑的，他也不诱惑人。但每一个人被诱惑是因自己的私欲牵引而被诱惑的。私欲既怀了胎，就生出罪来；罪既长成，就生出死来。我亲爱的弟兄们，不要被欺骗了。各样美善的恩泽和各样完美的赏赐都是从上头来的，从众光之父那里降下来的；在他并没有改变，也没有转动的影儿。

用温柔劝导反对的人。也许上帝会给他们悔改的心能明白真理，
