But to this very day the LORD has not given you an understanding mind, perceptive eyes, or discerning ears!

But to this day the Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear.

But to this day the Lord hasn’t given you a mind that understands. He hasn’t given you eyes that see. He hasn’t given you ears that hear.

But to this day the Lord has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear.

But to this day the Lord has not given you minds that understand, nor eyes that see, nor ears that hear!

Yet to this day the LORD has not given you a mind to understand, eyes to see, or ears to hear.

Yet the Lord has not given you a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, to this very day.

but Jehovah hath not given you a heart to know, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.

Yet to this day the Lord has not given you a mind to understand, eyes to see, or ears to hear.

The ear that hears and the eye that sees– the LORD has made them both.

He said,“ Go and tell these people:‘ Listen continually, but don’t understand! Look continually, but don’t perceive!’Make the hearts of these people calloused; make their ears deaf and their eyes blind! Otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears, their hearts might understand and they might repent and be healed.”

They are darkened in their understanding, being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts.

Why, LORD, do you make us stray from your ways, and make our minds stubborn so that we do not obey you? Return for the sake of your servants, the tribes of your inheritance!

Why don’t you understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot accept my teaching.

But King Sihon of Heshbon was unwilling to allow us to pass near him because the LORD our God had made him obstinate and stubborn so that he might deliver him over to you this very day.

I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your body and give you a heart of flesh.

so that the word of Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled. He said,“ Lord, who has believed our message, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”For this reason they could not believe, because again Isaiah said,“ He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they would not see with their eyes and understand with their heart, and turn to me, and I would heal them.”

and with every kind of evil deception directed against those who are perishing, because they found no place in their hearts for the truth so as to be saved.Consequently God sends on them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false.And so all of them who have not believed the truth but have delighted in evil will be condemned.

But until this very day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their minds,

He replied,“ You have been given the opportunity to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but they have not.For whoever has will be given more, and will have an abundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.For this reason I speak to them in parables: Although they see they do not see, and although they hear they do not hear nor do they understand.And concerning them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says:‘ You will listen carefully yet will never understand, you will look closely yet will never comprehend.For the heart of this people has become dull; they are hard of hearing, and they have shut their eyes, so that they would not see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’

when he said,‘ Go to this people and say,“ You will keep on hearing, but will never understand, and you will keep on looking, but will never perceive.For the heart of this people has become dull, and their ears are hard of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, so that they would not see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.”’

What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was diligently seeking, but the elect obtained it. The rest were hardened,as it is written,“ God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, to this very day.”And David says,“ Let their table become a snare and trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them;let their eyes be darkened so that they may not see, and make their backs bend continually.”

Let no one say when he is tempted,“ I am tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.But each one is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desires.Then when desire conceives, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is full grown, it gives birth to death.Do not be led astray, my dear brothers and sisters.All generous giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change.
