The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.

The Lord our God keeps certain things hidden. But he makes other things known to us and to our children forever. He does it so we can obey all the words of this law.

曰、父定之期日、爾非所當知也、

以秘奧之事示人、光暗無不灼知、

奧哉、上帝何智慧之大乎、其法不可測、其蹤不可追、孰知主心、得與共議、

使爾知其智慧、不可窺測、較爾所知者、倍蓰無算、因悟上帝罰爾、不足以蔽其辜。上帝非可忖度、全能之主、豈得盡知。

曰、天國之奧、與爾知之、不與他人也、

誰知主心能教之乎、吾儕乃得基督之心也、

寅畏耶和華、心與之交、耶和華必示以真理兮、

萬物由父賜我、父外無識子、子及子所樂示者之外、無識父、凡勞苦負重者就我、我賜爾安、我溫柔謙遜、負我軛而學我、則爾心獲安、蓋吾軛易、吾負輕也、

博士長伯底沙撒、我知爾感於至聖上帝之神、凡秘奧之事、爾能明晰、無事三思、我所得之夢、其兆維何、願明以告我、

諸經本上帝所默示、有益於教誨、督責、正己、學義、

主耶和華所作、必啟示其僕先知、

應先知言云、我將啟口設譬、創世以來、所隱藏者、闡揚之也、○

其中何人與我神契、諦聽我言、

宜求天上上帝施恩、以此秘奧、默示我儕、以免我儕與巴比倫哲士、同就駢戮、既夕、上帝於異象中、以秘奧示但以理、但以理祝天上上帝、

耶和華所深惡者、忤逆之輩、所神契者、行義之人。

第載此、使爾信耶穌為上帝子基督、信則賴其名而得生、

惟上帝能堅爾曹、從我所傳耶穌基督之福音、亦從上古未言之奧、今以先知之書昭著、遵永生上帝命、示異邦使之信服、

余將啟口設譬、以古所秘者闡揚之兮、耶和華之巨能異跡、我列祖所流傳、余聞而知之、必告後世之子孫兮。

對曰、王所問之事、哲人賢者、博士太史、不能告王、惟天上上帝、以秘奧示人、今將以末日之事告王、王卧於榻、中宵得夢、我試言之、王寢時、思未來事、上帝能顯諸隱、以末日之事示王、非我較天下人有智、惟上帝以此秘奧示我、遣我以兆告王、使王追憶前事、

因以曉人曰、寅畏上帝、即智慧、革去諸惡、即聰明。

當察作證之言、必稽出命之書、否則不睹旭日之光。

黽勉誨子、處於室、行於途、或寢或興、恆以此為訓。

憶爾信主無偽、維昔爾外祖母羅以、爾母友尼基、則有此信、我望爾亦然、

耶穌曰、如我欲彼恆存、待我復來、與爾何與、爾惟從我、

今而後、我不僕爾、以僕不知主所行、我惟友爾、以我聞於父者、皆示爾也、
