to confirm you this day as his people, that he may be your God as he promised you and as he swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Today he wants to show you that you are his people and that he is your God. That’s what he promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

that he may establish you today as his people, and that he may be your God, as he promised you, and as he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

By entering into the covenant today, he will establish you as his people and confirm that he is your God, just as he promised you and as he swore to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

我要和你并你的子子孙孙立永恒的约，我要做你和你子孙的上帝。

我要接纳你们做我的子民，我要做你们的上帝。这样，你们就知道我是你们的上帝耶和华，曾救你们脱离埃及人的辖制。

“你们若遵守你们上帝耶和华的诫命，遵行祂的旨意，祂必按自己的誓言使你们成为祂圣洁的子民。

耶和华说：“看啊，时候将到，我要与以色列家和犹大家另立新约，这约不同于我与他们祖先所立的约，就是我牵着他们祖先的手领他们离开埃及时所立的。虽然我是他们的丈夫，他们却违背了我的约。这是耶和华说的。”耶和华说：“那些日子以后，我将与以色列家立这样的约，我要把我的律法放在他们脑中，写在他们心上。我要做他们的上帝，他们要做我的子民。

然而，他们渴慕的是天上更美的家乡。所以，上帝不以被他们称为上帝为耻，因为祂已经为他们预备了一座城。

因为你们属于你们的上帝耶和华，是圣洁的民族，祂从天下万族中拣选了你们做祂的子民——祂宝贵的产业。

耶和华今天已经照祂的应许宣称你们是祂的子民，是祂宝贵的产业。因此，你们要遵守祂的一切诫命，这样祂必使你们备受赞誉和尊崇，超越祂所造的万国，并照着祂的应许使你们做属于祂的圣洁子民。”

他们要做我的子民，我要做他们的上帝。

你寄居在这里，我必与你同在，赐福给你，因为我必把这些土地赐给你和你的后代，坚立我对你父亲亚伯拉罕的誓约。我必使你的后代多如繁星，将这些土地都赐给他们，天下万国必因你的后裔而蒙福。

耶和华站在梯子上对雅各说：“我是耶和华，是你祖父亚伯拉罕的上帝，也是以撒的上帝。我要把你现在躺卧的地方赐给你和你的后代。你的后代必多如地上的尘沙，遍布四方，地上万族必因你和你的后代而蒙福。我与你同在，无论你去哪里，我都会保护你，领你返回这片土地。我必实现对你的应许，决不离弃你。”
