Your children and wives are here with you too. So are the outsiders living in your camps. They chop your wood and carry your water.

your little ones, your wives, and thy sojourner that is in the midst of thy camps, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water;

your children, your wives, and the foreigners in your camps who cut your wood and draw your water—

your infants, your wives, and the foreigners living in your encampment, those who chop wood and those who carry water–

your little ones, your wives, and the foreigners who are in the middle of your camps, from the one who cuts your wood to the one who draws your water,

And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds,[ even] very much cattle.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

And the mixt multitude that[ was] among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?

Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond[ nor] free: but Christ[ is] all, and in all.

And the princes said unto them, Let them live; but let them be hewers of wood and drawers of water unto all the congregation; as the princes had promised them.And Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, We[ are] very far from you; when ye dwell among us?Now therefore ye[ are] cursed, and there shall none of you be freed from being bondmen, and hewers of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God.And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have done this thing.And now, behold, we[ are] in thine hand: as it seemeth good and right unto thee to do unto us, do.And so did he unto them, and delivered them out of the hand of the children of Israel, that they slew them not.And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the LORD, even unto this day, in the place which he should choose.

But the seventh day[ is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God:[ in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that[ is] within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
