Yahweh our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.Yahweh didn’t make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive today.

Yahweh will set him apart for evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant written in this book of the law.

Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly and to break my covenant with them; for I am Yahweh their God.But I will for their sake remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am Yahweh.’”

The king stood by the pillar, and made a covenant before Yahweh, to walk after Yahweh, and to keep his commandments, his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and all his soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book; and all the people agreed to the covenant.

I will give the men who have transgressed my covenant, who have not performed the words of the covenant which they made before me, when they cut the calf in two and passed between its parts:

Moses alone shall come near to Yahweh, but they shall not come near. The people shall not go up with him.”Moses came and told the people all Yahweh’s words, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said,“ All the words which Yahweh has spoken will we do.”Moses wrote all Yahweh’s words, then rose up early in the morning and built an altar at the base of the mountain, with twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel.He sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of cattle to Yahweh.Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said,“ We will do all that Yahweh has said, and be obedient.”Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said,“ Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh has made with you concerning all these words.”

not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which covenant of mine they broke, although I was a husband to them,” says Yahweh.

“ Hear the words of this covenant, and speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;

not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; for they didn’t continue in my covenant, and I disregarded them,” says the Lord.

You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham,‘ All the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.’

Then men will say,“ Because they abandoned the covenant of Yahweh, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt,

that you may enter into the covenant of Yahweh your God, and into his oath, which Yahweh your God makes with you today,

the day that you stood before Yahweh your God in Horeb, when Yahweh said to me,“ Assemble the people to me, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.”

Be careful, lest you forget the covenant of Yahweh your God, which he made with you, and make yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which Yahweh your God has forbidden you.

He declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even the ten commandments. He wrote them on two stone tablets.
