The Lord will send you back in ships to Egypt on a journey I said you should never make again. There you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.

The Lord will send you back to Egypt in ships. He’ll send you on a journey I said you should never have to make again. You will offer to sell yourselves to your enemies as slaves in Egypt. But no one will buy you.

And the Lord will bring you back in ships to Egypt, a journey that I promised that you should never make again; and there you shall offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but there will be no buyer.”

Yahweh will bring you into Egypt again with ships, by the way of which I told to you that you would never see it again. There you will offer yourselves to your enemies for male and female slaves, and nobody will buy you.

They shall not dwell in the LORD’S land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean[ things] in Assyria.

And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed,[ and] fall in the land of Egypt; they shall[ even] be consumed by the sword[ and] by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration,[ and] an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.

But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the LORD hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.

So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: thus came they[ even] to Tahpanhes.

They sacrifice flesh[ for] the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat[ it; but] the LORD accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.

I[ am] the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly[ and] speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head:

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king’s damage.

And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, which were sold unto the heathen; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing[ to answer].
