Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart.

Among those nations you won’t find any peace. There won’t be any place where you can make your home and rest your feet. The Lord will give you minds filled with worry. He’ll give you eyes worn out from looking for help. You won’t have any hope in your hearts.

And among these nations you shall find no respite, and there shall be no resting place for the sole of your foot, but the Lord will give you there a trembling heart and failing eyes and a languishing soul.

There among those nations you will find no peace or place to rest. And the Lord will cause your heart to tremble, your eyesight to fail, and your soul to despair.

我待你們就要這樣：我必命定驚惶，叫眼目乾癟、精神消耗的癆病熱病轄制你們。你們也要白白地撒種，因為仇敵要吃你們所種的。

你要使他們心裏剛硬，使你的咒詛臨到他們。

這都是災難的起頭。

我的僕人因心中高興歡呼，你們卻因心中憂愁哀哭，又因心裏憂傷哀號。

你的民三分之一必遭瘟疫而死，在你中間必因饑荒消滅；三分之一必在你四圍倒在刀下；我必將三分之一分散四方，並要拔刀追趕他們。「我要這樣成就怒中所定的；我向他們發的忿怒止息了，自己就得着安慰。我在他們身上成就怒中所定的那時，他們就知道我－耶和華所說的是出於熱心；並且我必使你在四圍的列國中，在經過的眾人眼前，成了荒涼和羞辱。這樣，我必以怒氣和忿怒，並烈怒的責備，向你施行審判。那時，你就在四圍的列國中成為羞辱、譏刺、警戒、驚駭。這是我－耶和華說的。那時，我要將滅人、使人饑荒的惡箭，就是射去滅人的，射在你們身上，並要加增你們的饑荒，斷絕你們所倚靠的糧食；又要使饑荒和惡獸到你那裏，叫你喪子，瘟疫和流血的事也必盛行在你那裏；我也要使刀劍臨到你。這是我－耶和華說的。」

耶和華必如獅子吼叫，子民必跟隨他。他一吼叫，他們就從西方急速而來。他們必如雀鳥從埃及急速而來，又如鴿子從亞述地來到。我必使他們住自己的房屋。這是耶和華說的。

耶路撒冷啊，興起！興起！站起來！你從耶和華手中喝了他忿怒之杯，喝了那使人東倒西歪的爵，以致喝盡。

「你們說：我們要像外邦人和列國的宗族一樣，去事奉木頭與石頭。你們所起的這心意萬不能成就。」主耶和華說：「我指着我的永生起誓，我總要作王，用大能的手和伸出來的膀臂，並傾出來的忿怒，治理你們。我必用大能的手和伸出來的膀臂，並傾出來的忿怒，將你們從萬民中領出來，從分散的列國內聚集你們。我必帶你們到外邦人的曠野，在那裏當面刑罰你們。

天勢都要震動，人想起那將要臨到世界的事，就都嚇得魂不附體。

「人子啊，你吃飯必膽戰，喝水必惶惶憂慮。你要對這地的百姓說：主耶和華論耶路撒冷和以色列地的居民如此說，他們吃飯必憂慮，喝水必驚惶。因其中居住的眾人所行強暴的事，這地必然荒廢，一無所存。

我必出令，將以色列家分散在列國中，好像用篩子篩穀，連一粒也不落在地上。我民中的一切罪人說：災禍必追不上我們，也迎不着我們。他們必死在刀下。

我聽見耶和華的聲音，身體戰兢，嘴唇發顫，骨中朽爛；我在所立之處戰兢。我只可安靜等候災難之日臨到，犯境之民上來。

但遍地上都是水，鴿子找不着落腳之地，就回到方舟挪亞那裏，挪亞伸手把鴿子接進方舟來。
