Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart.

Among those nations you won’t find any peace. There won’t be any place where you can make your home and rest your feet. The Lord will give you minds filled with worry. He’ll give you eyes worn out from looking for help. You won’t have any hope in your hearts.

And among these nations you shall find no respite, and there shall be no resting place for the sole of your foot, but the Lord will give you there a trembling heart and failing eyes and a languishing soul.

There among those nations you will find no peace or place to rest. And the Lord will cause your heart to tremble, your eyesight to fail, and your soul to despair.

求你使他们心里顽固，好让你的咒诅落在他们身上！

这些只是灾难的开始。

我的仆人必欢喜快乐，扬声歌唱，你们却要伤心欲绝，嚎啕大哭。

你们三分之一的人要死于饥荒瘟疫，三分之一的人要死于刀下，我必把其余的三分之一分散到各地各方，并拔刀追杀他们。这样，我对你们的怒气才会发完，我才会息怒。我把烈怒倾倒在你们身上的时候，你们就会知道我耶和华的话是出于痛恨不贞。我必使你们的家园在周围的列国中，在路人眼前成为荒凉之地，使你们饱受羞辱。当我在气愤和烈怒中严厉地审判你们时，你们在各国必受羞辱和嘲讽，成为警戒，下场可怕。这是我耶和华说的。我要向你们射出饥荒的毒箭，破坏和毁灭你们，并且使饥荒越来越严重，断绝你们的粮源。我必让饥荒和猛兽来侵害你们，夺走你们的儿女，使你们饱受瘟疫、暴行和刀剑之灾，这是我耶和华说的。”

“以色列子民必跟随耶和华，祂要像狮子一样吼叫。祂吼叫的时候，他们要战战兢兢地从西方来。他们必战战兢兢地来，就像从埃及赶来的鸟儿，像从亚述飞来的鸽子。我要带他们返回家园。这是耶和华说的。”

耶路撒冷啊，醒来，醒来，站起来吧！你从耶和华手中的杯里喝了祂的愤怒，喝干了那杯使人东倒西歪的酒。

“‘你们说要像外族人一样去供奉木头石头，你们的想法绝不能实现！’“主耶和华说，‘我凭我的永恒起誓，我要发烈怒，伸出大能的臂膀治理你们。我要发烈怒，伸出大能的臂膀把你们从列国中领出来，从你们散居的列邦聚集你们，领你们进入外族人的旷野，面对面地审判你们，

天体必震动，人类想到世界要面临的事都吓得魂不附体。

“人子啊，你要战战兢兢地吃饭，惶惶恐恐地喝水，然后对这地方的人说，‘关于耶路撒冷和以色列的居民，主耶和华这样说，他们必焦虑不安地吃饭，惶恐不已地喝水，他们的土地必因其中居民的暴行而荒无人烟。

“因为我要下令在列国中筛以色列家，就像人筛谷物，一粒石子也不会落在地上。在我的子民中，所有夸口说‘灾祸不会追上我们，也不会迎面而来’的罪人，都要死在刀下。

我听到这些，就胆战心惊，嘴唇哆嗦，四肢无力，双腿发抖。但我仍要静候灾难临到入侵者的日子。

但遍地都是水，鸽子找不到歇脚的地方，就飞回了方舟，挪亚伸手把鸽子接进方舟里。
