“如果你不谨守遵行写在这书上的这律法的一切话，不敬畏这荣耀和可畏的名，就是耶和华你的神，

“如果你不謹守遵行寫在這書上的這律法的一切話，不敬畏這榮耀和可畏的名，就是耶和華你的神，

『倘若你不謹慎遵行寫在這書上的這律法之一切話，不敬畏這榮耀而可畏懼的名：「耶和華你的上帝」，

如爾不守此書所載法律之言、不畏爾上帝耶和華尊榮可畏之名、

如爾不守此書所錄律法諸言、爾上帝耶和華尊榮可畏之名、爾如不畏、

如爾不謹守遵行此書所載律法諸言、不畏主爾之天主、不畏其至尊可畏之名、

If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name— the Lord your God—

Be careful to follow all the words of this law. They are written in this scroll. Have respect for the glorious and wonderful name of the Lord your God. If you don’t,

“ If you are not careful to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, the Lord your God,

“ If you refuse to obey all the words of instruction that are written in this book, and if you do not fear the glorious and awesome name of the Lord your God,

“ If you are not careful to obey all the words of this law, which are written in this scroll, by fearing this glorious and awe-inspiring name— the LORD, your God—

“ If you are not careful to follow all the words of this Law that are written in this book, to fear this honored and awesome name, the Lord your God,

“ If you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, THE LORD YOUR GOD,

If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, JEHOVAH THY GOD;

“ If you are not careful to obey all the words of this law, which are written in this scroll, by fearing this glorious and awesome name— Yahweh, your God—

If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;

If you will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, YAHWEH your God,

I am the LORD! That is my name! I will not share my glory with anyone else, or the praise due me with idols.

God said to Moses,“ I AM that I AM.” And he said,“ You must say this to the Israelites,‘ I AM has sent me to you.’”God also said to Moses,“ You must say this to the Israelites,‘ The LORD– the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob– has sent me to you. This is my name forever, and this is my memorial from generation to generation.’

He says:“ Listen my people! I am speaking! Listen Israel! I am accusing you! I am God, your God!

You must revere the LORD your God, serve him, and take oaths using only his name.

But your ancestors did not listen to me nor pay attention to me. They became obstinate and were more wicked than even their own forefathers.’”Then the LORD said to me,“ When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you. When you call out to them, they will not respond to you.So tell them:‘ This is a nation that has not obeyed the LORD their God and has not accepted correction. Faithfulness is nowhere to be found in it. These people do not even profess it anymore.

God spoke to Moses and said to him,“ I am the LORD.I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name‘ the LORD’ I was not known to them.

“ These people have denied what the LORD says. They have said,‘ That is not so! No harm will come to us. We will not experience war and famine.

“ But if you ignore the LORD your God and are not careful to keep all his commandments and statutes I am giving you today, then all these curses will come upon you in full force:

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you! Don’t be frightened, for I am your God! I strengthen you– yes, I help you– yes, I uphold you with my saving right hand!

The LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there and proclaimed the LORD by name.The LORD passed by before him and proclaimed:“ The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, and abounding in loyal love and faithfulness,keeping loyal love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin. But he by no means leaves the guilty unpunished, responding to the transgression of fathers by dealing with children and children’s children, to the third and fourth generation.”

Then they will know that you alone are the LORD, the sovereign king over all the earth.

The Levites– Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah– said,“ Stand up and bless the LORD your God!”“ May you be blessed, O LORD our God, from age to age. May your glorious name be blessed; may it be lifted up above all blessing and praise.

“‘ If, however, you do not obey me and keep all these commandments–if you reject my statutes and abhor my regulations so that you do not keep all my commandments and you break my covenant–

You steal. You murder. You commit adultery. You lie when you swear on oath. You sacrifice to the god Baal. You pay allegiance to other gods whom you have not previously known.Then you come and stand in my presence in this temple I have claimed as my own and say,“ We are safe!” You think you are so safe that you go on doing all those hateful sins!

His glorious name deserves praise forevermore! May his majestic splendor fill the whole earth! We agree! We agree!

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the one who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

For we know the one who said,“ Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” and again,“ The Lord will judge his people.”It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

“ I, the LORD, am your God, who brought you from the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery.

“ There will be harsh condemnation for the hypocrite who has a valuable male animal in his flock but vows and sacrifices something inferior to the Lord. For I am a great king,” says the LORD who rules over all,“ and my name is awesome among the nations.”

So since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us give thanks, and through this let us offer worship pleasing to God in devotion and awe.For our God is indeed a devouring fire.
