『倘若你不謹慎遵行寫在這書上的這律法之一切話，不敬畏這榮耀而可畏懼的名：「耶和華你的上帝」，

如爾不守此書所載法律之言、不畏爾上帝耶和華尊榮可畏之名、

如爾不守此書所錄律法諸言、爾上帝耶和華尊榮可畏之名、爾如不畏、

如爾不謹守遵行此書所載律法諸言、不畏主爾之天主、不畏其至尊可畏之名、

If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name— the Lord your God—

Be careful to follow all the words of this law. They are written in this scroll. Have respect for the glorious and wonderful name of the Lord your God. If you don’t,

我是耶和華，這是我的名；我必不把我的榮耀歸給別人，也不把我當受的稱讚歸給雕刻的偶像。

神回答摩西：“我是‘自有永有者’。”又說：“你要對以色列人這樣說：‘那自有者派我到你們這裡來。’”神又對摩西說：“你要對以色列人這樣說：‘耶和華你們祖宗的神，就是亞伯拉罕的神、以撒的神、雅各的神，差遣我到你們這裡來；這就是我永久的名字，也是世世代代中我被記念的名字。’

“我的子民哪！你們要聽，我要說話；以色列啊！我要控訴你；我是神，是你的神。

你要敬畏耶和華你的神，要事奉他，奉他的名起誓。

你們（“你們”原文作“他們”）卻沒有聽從，毫不留心，反倒硬著頸項行惡，比你們（“你們”原文作“他們”）的列祖還厲害。“你要把這一切話告訴他們，他們卻不聽從你；你呼叫他們，他們也不回應。然而，你要對他們說：‘這就是不聽從耶和華他們神的話，不受管教的國；誠實喪盡，並已從他們的口中斷絕了。

神告訴摩西說：“我是耶和華。我曾向亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各顯現為全能的神，至於我的名字‘耶和華’，他們是不認識的。

他們不信耶和華，說：“他不會作甚麼，災禍必不臨到我們，我們也不會看見刀劍和饑荒。

“但是，如果你不聽從耶和華你神的話，不謹守遵行我今日吩咐你的一切誡命和律例，以下這一切咒詛就必臨到你身上，把你趕上。

不要懼怕，因為我與你同在；不要四處張望，因為我是你的神，我必堅固你，我必幫助你；我必用公義的右手扶持你。

耶和華在雲彩中降下來，與摩西一同站在那裡，並且宣告耶和華的名字。耶和華在摩西面前經過，並且宣告說：“耶和華，耶和華，是有憐憫有恩典的神，不輕易發怒，並且有豐盛的慈愛和誠實，為千千萬萬人留下慈愛，赦免罪孽、過犯和罪惡。一定要清除罪，追討罪孽自父及子至孫，直到三四代。”

使他們知道只有你的名是耶和華，唯有你是掌管全地的至高者。

利未人耶書亞、甲篾、巴尼、哈沙尼、示利比、荷第雅、示巴尼和毘他希雅說：“你們要起立，稱頌耶和華你們的神，直到永永遠遠。”“耶和華啊，你榮耀的名是應當稱頌的；願你的名被尊崇，超過一切稱頌和讚美。

“但如果你們不聽從我，不遵行這一切誡命；如果你們棄絕我的律例，你們的心厭棄我的典章，不遵行我的一切誡命，違背我的約，

你們怎可偷盜、兇殺、姦淫、起假誓、向巴力燒香，跟從你們素不認識的別神，然後來到這稱為我名下的殿，站在我面前，說：‘我們安全啦！’你們這樣就可以行這一切可憎的事嗎？

他榮耀的名也是應當永遠稱頌的；願他的榮耀充滿全地。阿們，阿們。

那些殺身體卻不能殺靈魂的，不要怕他們；倒要怕那位能把靈魂和身體都投入地獄裡的。

因為我們知道誰說過：“伸冤在我，我必報應。”又說：“主必定審判他自己的子民。”落在永活的神手裡，真是可怕的。

“我是耶和華你的神，曾經把你從埃及地，從為奴之家領出來。

萬軍之耶和華說：“凡以家畜中公的許了願，卻又詭詐地拿有殘疾的獻給主，那人當受咒詛；因為我是大君王，我的名在列國中是可敬畏的。”

因此，我們既然領受了不能震動的國，就應該感恩，照著神所喜悅的，用虔誠敬畏的心事奉他；因為我們的神是烈火。
