「吹響號角警告眾人吧！敵人要如鷹撲向耶和華的家，因為百姓背棄我的約，違背我的律法。

追趕我們的人比飛鷹更快，他們在山上追捕我們，在曠野伏擊我們。

看啊，敵人必像展翅飛來的鷹一樣攻擊波斯拉。到那日，以東的勇士必像臨盆的婦女一樣膽戰心驚。

耶和華說：「看啊，敵人必像展翅疾飛的大鷹一樣來攻擊摩押。

以色列人啊，我要使一個國家，一個歷久不衰的古國從遠方來攻擊你們，你們不明白他們的語言，也聽不懂他們說的話。這是耶和華說的。他們都是勇士，他們的弓箭殺人無數。他們必吞噬你們的兒女、牛羊、糧食、葡萄和無花果，用刀劍摧毀你們所依靠的堅城。」

祂必豎起旗幟召集遠方的國家，吹哨叫來地極的人。看啊，他們必飛速而來！他們無人疲倦，無人踉蹌，無人打盹，無人睡覺，都腰帶緊束，鞋帶未斷。他們的利箭上弦，引弓待發；他們的馬蹄堅如岩石，車輪快如旋風。他們吼叫如獅子，像猛獅般咆哮著捕食，將獵物叼走，無人能救。那日，他們必向以色列咆哮，如怒海澎湃。人若觀看大地，只見黑暗和艱難，光明被密雲遮蓋。

告訴他們，主耶和華說，『有一隻大鷹翅膀寬大，羽毛豐滿，色彩繽紛。這隻鷹飛到黎巴嫩的香柏樹上，折去樹梢，

「你要對這些悖逆的人說，『你們不明白這比喻的意思嗎？』要告訴他們，巴比倫王攻取了耶路撒冷，把其中的君王和大臣擄到巴比倫，

我的上帝差遣天使封住了獅子的口，不讓牠們傷害我，因為我在上帝面前是清白的。王啊，我在你面前也沒有過錯。」王非常高興，便命人把但以理從坑中拉上來。於是，但以理從坑中被拉了上來，他因為信靠他的上帝，身上毫無損傷。

六十二個七之後，受膏者必被殺害，一無所有。另有一王要興起，他的臣民要毀滅這城和聖所。結局必如洪水沖來，戰爭將持續到末了，到處一片荒涼——這已經註定。

因為有一天敵人要在你周圍築起壁壘把你團團圍住，四面攻擊你。他們要把你夷為平地，毀滅你城牆裡的兒女，不會留下兩塊疊在一起的石頭，因為你沒有認識到上帝眷顧你的時刻。」

律法書上記載：「主說，『我要藉著講陌生語言的人和外邦人的口向這些子民說話。雖然如此，他們仍然不聽從我。』」

看啊，仇敵必如雲湧來，他的戰車快如旋風，他的戰馬比飛鷹還快。我們有禍了！我們滅亡了！

耶和華說：「看啊，有一個民族從北方來，有一個強國從地極發動進攻。他們殘酷無情，毫無憐憫，手持弓箭長槍，騎馬奔來，聲勢如狂濤怒吼。錫安城啊，他們準備列陣攻擊你。」

船隻從基提駛來，征服亞述和希伯，但他也要滅亡。」

我要使兇殘、暴虐的迦勒底人興起。他們要席捲天下，強佔別人的家園。他們任意妄為，令人膽戰心驚。

我不是派你到那些語言陌生、難懂、你聽不明白的民族中。我若果真派你到他們那裡，他們一定會聽你的話。

屍體在哪裡，禿鷹就會聚集在哪裡。
