therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

爾以我命、往告哈拿尼亞云、所折者木軛也、必作鐵軛以代之。蓋我萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華云、我以鐵軛、置於列邦、使彼服事巴比倫王、尼布甲尼撒、亦使野獸供其服役。

當告違逆之族、云、爾知是乎、巴比倫王至耶路撒冷、虜其王公牧伯、至於巴比倫、

我意已定、降災爾躬、居埃及之猶大人、使戮於鋒刃、亡於饑饉、滅之殆盡、

又有巨鷹、其翼甚大、毛羽豐健、葡萄發根株、長枝幹、以向此鷹、望其灌溉、若農之治田。

見爾作惡、深堪痛疾不能復忍、故使爾土荒蕪、無人居處、為人詛咒駭異、今日之事為證。

昔耶和華震怒厥民、以其地付爾、俾染污俗、乃爾不以矜憫為懷、使其父老、負戴重軛、

惟使以色列族服役示撒、使知服事列王、孰與事我。

當告之云、耶和華曰、巨鷹有翼、碩大無朋、毛羽豐健、文彩斑斕、集於利巴嫩、柏香木之高枝、為其所折、

又曰、人子、吾必使耶路撒冷人、養生之餅匱乏、將權餅而食、量水而飲、不敢少過、中心危懼、待餅水俱絶、互相觀望、因罪而亡。

如有詰先知者、謂我之上帝耶和華降災於我曷故。先知必曰、爾棄耶和華、在爾故土、崇事非爾之上帝、故必在非爾之地、從事異邦人。

我溫柔謙遜、負我軛而學我、則爾心獲安、

我所欲者我必為之、昔我列祖、王公、在猶大諸邑、耶路撒冷逵衢焚香灌奠、奉事天后、當時咸得果腹、所遇亨通、不遘患難、我不焚香灌奠奉事天后、我則缺乏、又遇鋒刃饑饉而亡。

耶利米以斯言奏猶大王西底家云、汝當歸誠巴比倫之君民、負軛服事、則可得生。耶和華曾言、凡諸邦國、不肯服事巴比倫王、必以鋒刃、饑饉、瘟疫、使之淪喪今汝與民、何為自取死亡。

我昔錫爾土地、後必使爾至未識之地、為敵人服役、蓋爾干我震怒、炎炎不滅。

爾施厚恩、賜其得國、恢廓腴壤、彼猶不悛厥惡、不奉事爾。爾以斯土、賜我列祖、得其物產、食其肥甘、我今日嗣之、當為爾僕。爾罰我罪、使我國之豐亨見奪於異邦列王、彼轄我及我牲畜、任意以為、使我艱苦備嘗。

異邦之人據我土、處我室兮。子無父、母無夫兮。欲求薪水、非金莫得兮。我項服役、勤勞不息兮。予與埃及、亞述夙有盟約、望得果腹兮。
