therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

So he will send enemies against you. You will have to serve them. You will be hungry and thirsty. You will be naked and poor. The Lord will put the iron chains of slavery around your necks until he has destroyed you.

therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger and thirst, in nakedness, and lacking everything. And he will put a yoke of iron on your neck until he has destroyed you.

你们的可憎恶行令耶和华忍无可忍，以致祂使你们的土地一片荒凉，无人居住，被人咒诅，正如今天的情形。

我曾向我的子民发怒，让我的产业被玷污，把他们交在你手中。你对他们毫不留情，甚至让老人负极重的轭。

然而，他们必做示撒的仆人，好让他们体验事奉我和服侍世上的君王的不同。”

告诉他们，主耶和华说，‘有一只大鹰翅膀宽大，羽毛丰满，色彩缤纷。这只鹰飞到黎巴嫩的香柏树上，折去树梢，

又说：“人子啊，我要断绝耶路撒冷的粮源，叫他们焦虑地吃限量的饼，恐惧地喝限量的水。他们必缺粮少水，绝望地面面相觑，因自己的罪恶而灭亡。”

耶利米啊，如果有人问，‘为什么我们的上帝耶和华这样待我们？’你可以对他们说，‘你们怎样背弃耶和华，在自己的土地上供奉外族的神明，也要怎样在异地他乡服侍外族人。’

我心柔和谦卑，你们要负我的轭，向我学习，这样你们的心灵必得享安息。

但我们必照所许的愿向天后烧香奠酒，正如我们和我们的祖先、君王和官长在犹大各城和耶路撒冷街上所做的一样。那时，我们食物充足，生活幸福，无灾无祸。但自从我们停止向天后烧香奠酒后，我们便一无所有，不断有人死于战争和饥荒。”

我照耶和华的吩咐对犹大王西底迦说：“你们要负巴比伦王的轭，臣服于他和他的人民，这样你们就可存活。你和你的人民何必死于战争、饥荒和瘟疫呢？耶和华要降这些灾难给不肯臣服于巴比伦王的国家。

他们必失去我赐给他们的产业，被敌人掳到异乡做奴隶，因为他们激起了我的怒火，永难熄灭。”

他们即使在本国，在你赐给他们广阔肥沃的土地上得享你的厚恩，也不事奉你，不离开恶道。今天，我们沦为奴隶，在你赐给我们祖先的土地上，在你让我们祖先享用其出产和各样美物的土地上，我们沦为奴隶。因为我们的罪过，这地方的丰富出产都归给了那些你派来统管我们的王。他们随意统管我们和我们的牲畜。我们生活在极大的苦难中。

我们的土地被陌生人侵占，我们的房屋落入外族人手中。我们成了丧父的孤儿，我们的母亲成了寡妇。我们喝水要付钱，烧的柴要用钱买。敌人紧追不舍，我们疲惫不堪，不得安歇。为了得到食物，我们向埃及、亚述卑躬屈膝。
