A people that you do not know will eat what your land and labor produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression all your days.

A nation you don’t know anything about will eat what you work to produce on your land. You will only be treated badly as long as you live.

爾必在日中探捫、如瞽者之探捫於暗中、爾所作所為、不得亨通、恆遭暴虐搶奪、無人救援、爾將聘妻而他人與之寢、爾將建室而不得居之、植葡萄園、不得食其果、

我必懲罰爾、降爾以可驚之災、患癆患熱、致目倦心傷、播種徒勞、必為敵所食、

敵馬噴氣、聞自但邑、其駿馬鳴嘶、遍地震動、彼至滅國與其中所有、滅邑與其居民、
