Your sons and daughters will be given to another nation, and you will wear out your eyes watching for them day after day, powerless to lift a hand.

Your children will be given to another nation. Day after day you will watch for them to come back. But you will only wear out your eyes. You won’t be able to help your children.

有些人说：“我们和儿女人口众多，给我们五谷餬口，可以存活。”有些人说：“我们抵押了自己的田地、葡萄园和房屋，为要在饥荒中买到五谷。”有些人说：“我们为了要借钱向王纳税，只好抵押了我们的田地和葡萄园。虽然我们的身体与我们同胞的身体一样，我们的儿女与他们的儿女也相同，可是我们却要强迫自己的儿女去作仆婢，而且我们的女儿有些已经作了奴婢，我们却无能为力，因为我们的田地和葡萄园已经属于别人了。”

为分产业而控告朋友的，他子孙的眼睛也要昏花。

但恶人的眼目必昏花，逃亡之路也必断绝，他们的指望就是最后的一口气。”

我的眼睛因流泪而失明，我的心肠激动，我的肝胆倾倒在地，都因我的子民（“我的子民”原文作“我子民的女子”）遭毁灭，孩童和婴儿在城里的街上昏倒。

我因不住呼求而疲倦，我的喉咙发干；我因等候我的神，眼睛昏花。

锡安的女子啊！你要疼痛劬劳，好像临产的妇人；因为现在你要从城里出来，住在田野，一定要到巴比伦去；在那里你要蒙拯救，在那里耶和华必救赎你，脱离仇敌的掌握。

我必使你们被掳，流亡到大马士革以外。这是耶和华说的，万军的神就是他的名。

你身所生的、土地所出的、牛生殖的和羊所产的，都必受咒诅。

“我在这地的城门口，用簸箕簸了我的子民，使他们丧掉儿女，使他们灭亡；他们仍不转离自己所行的路。我使他们寡妇的数目比海沙还多；我使行毁灭的在午间临到我的子民，打击年轻人的母亲，使痛苦的惊恐忽然临到她们身上。那生过七个子女的母亲衰竭疲弱，几乎气绝；还在白昼，她的太阳已经西落，她必惭愧蒙羞。我必使他们余剩的人在敌人面前死于刀下。”这是耶和华的宣告。

“人子啊！我从他们中间夺去他们的堡垒、他们所喜欢的荣耀、他们眼所喜爱的、心所崇尚的和他们的儿女的时候，

我像燕子呻吟，像白鹤鸣叫，又像鸽子哀鸣。我的眼睛因仰望高处而疲倦；耶和华啊！我受欺压，求你作我的保障。

摩押啊，你有祸了，基抹的民哪，你们灭亡了；基抹使自己的男子逃亡，使自己的女子被掳，交给了亚摩利人的王西宏。

为了这事，我们心里愁烦；为了这事，我们的眼睛昏花；

“在这地方你不可娶妻，不可生儿育女。”因为论到这地方出生的儿女，和在这地生养他们的父母，耶和华这样说：“他们都必死于致命的疫症，没有人为他们哀哭，他们的尸体也没有人埋葬，必在地面上成为粪肥。他们必被刀剑和饥荒所灭，他们的尸体成了空中飞鸟和地上走兽的食物。”

我们徒然等待帮助，等到双目失去视力；我们在瞭望台上期望一个不能拯救我们的国家来临。

在那些国中，你必不得安息，也没有脚掌歇息的地方；耶和华却必使你在那里心中发颤，眼目憔悴，精神颓废。
