In those days people will live in the houses they build and eat the fruit of their own vineyards.Unlike the past, invaders will not take their houses and confiscate their vineyards. For my people will live as long as trees, and my chosen ones will have time to enjoy their hard won gains.

You make vows and break them; you kill and steal and commit adultery. There is violence everywhere— one murder after another.

But I have heard the Lord of Heaven’s Armies swear a solemn oath:“ Many houses will stand deserted; even beautiful mansions will be empty.Ten acres of vineyard will not produce even six gallons of wine. Ten baskets of seed will yield only one basket of grain.”

Even captives are at ease in death, with no guards to curse them.
