At midday you will grope about like a blind person in the dark. You will be unsuccessful in everything you do; day after day you will be oppressed and robbed, with no one to rescue you.

Even at noon you will have to feel your way around like a blind person in the dark. You won’t have success in anything you do. Day after day you will be robbed and treated badly. No one will be able to save you.

and you shall grope at noonday, as the blind grope in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways. And you shall be only oppressed and robbed continually, and there shall be no one to help you.

You will grope around in broad daylight like a blind person groping in the darkness, but you will not find your way. You will be oppressed and robbed continually, and no one will come to save you.

我們像瞎眼的沿著牆壁摸索，像沒有眼睛一樣摸索；我們在正午像在黃昏時那樣絆倒；我們在健壯人中就像死人一樣。

於是耶和華的怒氣向他的子民發作；他厭惡自己的繼業，把他們交在列國的手中，恨他們的人就管轄他們。他們的仇敵壓迫他們，他們就屈服在仇敵手下。

但如果我們的福音真的被遮蓋了，也是在那些正滅亡的人中被遮蓋的。對於他們，這世代的神把這些不信之人的心眼弄瞎了，使他們不能洞察基督榮耀的福音之光。基督就是神的形像。

弟兄們，我不願意你們不明白這奧祕，免得你們自以為聰明。這奧祕就是：以色列人中的部分人變得剛硬，直到外邦人的全數滿足了，

願他們的眼睛變為昏暗，不能看見；求你使他們的腰一直顫抖。求你向他們傾瀉你的憤怒，願你猛烈的怒氣追上他們。

當時在以色列全地找不到一個鐵匠，因為非利士人說：「恐怕希伯來人製造刀劍或長矛。」所以，以色列人都下到非利士人那裡去，磨利他們的鋤頭、犁頭、斧頭和鏟子。磨鋤頭、犁頭的價錢是三分之二謝克爾，磨草叉、斧頭或磨尖刺棒的價錢是三分之一謝克爾。所以到了爭戰的日子，隨同掃羅和約拿單的所有軍兵手中都沒有刀劍或長矛，只有掃羅和他兒子約拿單有刀槍。

非利士人聚集起來，要與以色列爭戰，他們有戰車三千輛、馬兵六千，人多如海邊的沙粒。他們上來，在伯亞文東邊的米克瑪紮營。以色列人看見形勢危急，處境窘迫，軍兵就躲藏在洞穴裡、叢林中、巖石間、地窖裡和坑裡。有些希伯來人渡過約旦河到了迦得和基列地；掃羅仍然在吉甲，所有軍兵都戰戰兢兢地跟隨他。

所以怎麼樣呢？以色列人並沒有獲得他們所尋求的，蒙揀選的人卻獲得了，而其餘的人都成了剛硬的，正如經上所記：「神給了他們昏迷的心靈、看不見的眼睛、聽不見的耳朵，直到今天。」大衛也說：「讓他們的筵席成為網羅、陷阱、絆腳石，又成為他們的報應。讓他們的眼睛昏暗不能看。讓他們的腰背永遠彎曲。」

你帶他們去，與他們一起行潔淨禮，並且替他們付錢，好讓他們剃掉頭髮。這樣，大家就會知道有關你的傳聞不是真的，而且你自己也是照著規矩行事、遵守律法的。
