你们从前算不得子民，现在却作了神的子民；从前未曾蒙怜恤，现在却蒙了怜恤。亲爱的弟兄啊，你们是客旅，是寄居的。我劝你们要禁戒肉体的私欲；这私欲是与灵魂争战的。

你们岂不知不义的人不能承受神的国吗？不要自欺！无论是淫乱的、拜偶像的、奸淫的、作娈童的、亲男色的、偷窃的、贪婪的、醉酒的、辱骂的、勒索的，都不能承受神的国。你们中间也有人从前是这样；但如今你们奉主耶稣基督的名，并藉着我们神的灵，已经洗净，成圣，称义了。

从前你们是暗昧的，但如今在主里面是光明的，行事为人就当像光明的子女。光明所结的果子就是一切良善、公义、诚实。

感谢神！因为你们从前虽然作罪的奴仆，现今却从心里顺服了所传给你们道理的模范。你们既从罪里得了释放，就作了义的奴仆。

“耶和华你的神今日吩咐你行这些律例典章，所以你要尽心尽性谨守遵行。你今日认耶和华为你的神，应许遵行他的道，谨守他的律例、诫命、典章，听从他的话。耶和华今日照他所应许你的，也认你为他的子民，使你谨守他的一切诫命，

但现今，你们既从罪里得了释放，作了神的奴仆，就有成圣的果子，那结局就是永生。
