Build there an altar to the Lord your God, an altar of stones. Do not use any iron tool on them.

Build an altar there to honor the Lord your God. Make it out of stones. Don’t use any iron tool on them.

And there you shall build an altar to the Lord your God, an altar of stones. You shall wield no iron tool on them;

“ Then build an altar there to the Lord your God, using natural, uncut stones. You must not shape the stones with an iron tool.

Build an altar of stones there to the LORD your God— do not use any iron tool on them.

你们若为我筑石坛，不可用凿刻的石头，因为用工具凿刻的石头会玷污祭坛。

拿了十二块石头分别代表雅各子孙的十二支派。耶和华曾经对雅各说：“你的名字要叫以色列。”以利亚就奉耶和华的名用那些石头筑了一座祭坛，又在坛的周围挖了一条能盛十五升谷种的沟，

摩西把耶和华的这些话记录下来。第二天清晨，摩西在山脚筑了一座坛，立了十二根柱子代表以色列的十二支派。

约书亚照耶和华的仆人摩西在律法书上吩咐以色列人的话，用未经铁器凿过的完整石头，在以巴路山上为以色列的上帝耶和华筑了一座祭坛。以色列人就在这坛上把燔祭和平安祭献给耶和华。
