Write on them all the words of this law when you have crossed over to enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you.

Write all the words of this law on them. Do it when you have crossed over into the land the Lord your God is giving you. It’s a land that has plenty of milk and honey. The Lord is the God of your people of long ago. He promised you that you would enter the land.

約書亞在那裏，當着以色列人面前，將摩西所寫的律法抄寫在石頭上。

「看哪，日子將到，我要與以色列家和猶大家另立新的約。這是耶和華說的。這約不像我拉着他們祖宗的手，領他們出埃及地的時候與他們所立的約。我雖作他們的丈夫，他們卻背了我的約。這是耶和華說的。那些日子以後，我與以色列家所立的約是這樣：我要將我的律法放在他們裏面，寫在他們心上。我要作他們的神，他們要作我的子民。這是耶和華說的。

「主說：那些日子以後，我與他們所立的約是這樣的：我要將我的律法放在他們的心上，又要寫在他們的心思裏。」

以色列人在曠野走了四十年，直到那從埃及出來，全國能打仗的人都消滅了，因為他們沒有聽從耶和華的話。耶和華曾向他們起誓，必不容許他們看見耶和華向他們列祖起誓要給我們的地，就是流奶與蜜之地。

如今耶穌已經得了更優越的事奉，正如他作更美之約的中保；這約原是憑更美之應許立的。第一個約若沒有瑕疵，就無須尋求第二個約了。所以神指責他們說：「主說，看哪，日子將到，我要與以色列家和猶大家另立新的約；不像我拉着他們祖宗的手領他們出埃及地的時候，與他們所立的約；因為他們不恆心守我的約，所以我也不理他們；這是主說的。主又說：那些日子以後，我與以色列家所立的約是這樣：我要將我的律法放在他們的心思裏，寫在他們的心上；我要作他們的神，他們要作我的子民。

但我對你們說過，你們要承受他們的土地；我要把這流奶與蜜之地賜給你們，作為你們的產業。我是耶和華－你們的神，是把你們從萬民中分別出來的。

要繫在手上作記號，戴在額上作經匣；

你們就是我們的推薦信，寫在我們心裏，被眾人所知道、所誦讀的，而你們顯明自己是基督的書信，藉着我們寫成的。不是用墨寫的，而是用永生神的靈寫的；不是寫在石版上，而是寫在心版上的。

我好堅定我向你們列祖所起的誓，賞賜他們流奶與蜜之地，正如今日一樣。』」我就回應說：「耶和華啊，阿們！」

他們告訴摩西說：「我們到了你派我們去的那地，果然是流奶與蜜之地；這就是那地的果子。

耶和華若喜愛我們，就必領我們進入那地，把這流奶與蜜之地賜給我們。

把這地賞賜給他們，就是你向他們列祖起誓應許要賜給他們的流奶與蜜之地。
