Write on them all the words of this law when you have crossed over to enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you.

Write all the words of this law on them. Do it when you have crossed over into the land the Lord your God is giving you. It’s a land that has plenty of milk and honey. The Lord is the God of your people of long ago. He promised you that you would enter the land.

耶和華說：「看啊，時候將到，我要與以色列家和猶大家另立新約，這約不同於我與他們祖先所立的約，就是我牽著他們祖先的手領他們離開埃及時所立的。雖然我是他們的丈夫，他們卻違背了我的約。這是耶和華說的。」耶和華說：「那些日子以後，我將與以色列家立這樣的約，我要把我的律法放在他們腦中，寫在他們心上。我要做他們的上帝，他們要做我的子民。

「主說，那些日子以後，我將與他們立這樣的約，我要把我的律例放在他們心中，寫在他們腦中。

以色列人在曠野飄泊了四十年，直到從埃及出來可以作戰的男子都死了為止，因為他們不聽從耶和華的話。耶和華向他們起誓，不讓他們看見那奶蜜之鄉，衪曾應許他們祖先要把那個地方賜給他們。

但如今，基督得到了一個更超越的職任，正如祂擔任了更美之約的中保，這約是根據更美的應許所立的。因為如果第一個約沒有缺點，就不必另立新約了。然而，上帝指責祂的百姓，說：「看啊，時候將到，我要與以色列家和猶大家另立新約，這約不同於我與他們祖先所立的約，就是我牽著他們祖先的手領他們離開埃及時所立的。因為他們不持守我的約，所以我不再理會他們。這是主說的。主又說，那些日子以後，我將與以色列家立這樣的約，我要把我的律法放在他們腦中，寫在他們心上。我要作他們的上帝，他們要作我的子民。

我曾說你們必佔據他們的土地，我要把那片奶蜜之鄉賜給你們作產業。我是你們的上帝耶和華，我已經把你們跟萬族分開。

要把它們繫在手上、戴在額上作記號，

你們自己就是我們的推薦信，寫在了我們心坎上，眾所周知，人人可讀。顯然，你們是從基督而來的一封信，是我們工作的成果。這信不是用筆墨寫成的，乃是藉著永活上帝的靈寫成的；不是寫在石版上的，而是刻在心版上的。

這樣，我就實現我向你們祖先起的誓——賜給他們那奶蜜之鄉，正如今日一樣。』」我回答說：「耶和華啊，遵命！」

他們對摩西說：「我們照你的指示打探了那地方，果然是奶蜜之鄉，這些都是那裡的果子。

如果耶和華喜悅我們，祂必把我們帶到那片土地，將那奶蜜之鄉賜給我們。

你信守對他們祖先的應許，賜給他們這奶蜜之鄉。
