“ Cursed is anyone who sleeps with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.” Then all the people shall say,“ Amen!”

“ May anyone who sleeps with his sister be under the Lord’ s curse. It doesn’t matter whether she is his full sister or his half sister.” Then all the people will say,“ Amen!”

‘ Cursed is anyone who has sexual intercourse with his sister, whether she is the daughter of his father or his mother.’ And all the people will reply,‘ Amen.’

‘ The one who sleeps with his sister, whether his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter is cursed.’ And all the people will say,‘ Amen!’

‘ Cursed is the one who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.’“ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen!’

Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

‘ The one who sleeps with his sister, whether his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter is cursed.’ And all the people will say,‘ Amen!’

Cursed[ be] he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

‘ Cursed is the one who has sexual relations with his sister, the daughter of either his father or mother.’ Then all the people will say,‘ Amen!’

‘ Cursed is he who lies with his sister, his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter.’ All the people shall say,‘ Amen.’

‘ If there is a man who takes his sister, his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter, so that he sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness, it is a disgrace; and they shall be cut off in the sight of the sons of their people. He has uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he bears his guilt.

As for the nakedness of your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether born in the household or born outside the household, you shall not uncover their nakedness.

And one has committed abomination with his neighbor’s wife, another has outrageously defiled his daughter in law, and another among you has sexually abused his sister, his father’s daughter.

Now it was after this that Absalom the son of David had a beautiful sister whose name was Tamar, and Amnon the son of David was in love with her.

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s house, and he was lying in bed. And she took dough, kneaded it, made pastries in his sight, and baked the pastries.Then she took the tray and served them to him, but he refused to eat. And Amnon said,“ Have everyone leave me.” So everyone left him.Then Amnon said to Tamar,“ Bring the food into the bedroom, so that I may eat from your hand.” So Tamar took the pastries which she had made and brought them into the bedroom to her brother Amnon.When she brought them to him to eat, he took hold of her and said to her,“ Come, sleep with me, my sister.”But she said to him,“ No, my brother, do not violate me, for such a thing is not done in Israel; do not do this disgraceful sin!As for me, where could I get rid of my shame? And as for you, you will be like one of the fools in Israel. Now then, please speak to the king, for he will not withhold me from you.”However, he would not listen to her; since he was stronger than she, he violated her and slept with her.
