『以色列人哪，現在你們要聽我所教訓你們行的律例典章，好叫你們活着，得以進去，取得永恆主你們列祖的上帝所賜給你們的地以為業。我所吩咐你們的話、你們不可加添，也不可減少；好叫你們遵守永恆主你們的上帝的誡命、就是我所吩咐你們的。永恆主在巴力毘珥所行的、你們親眼看見了；凡隨從毘珥的巴力的、永恆主你們的上帝都從你們中間消滅掉了。

因為凡遵守全律法、而在一件事上失腳的、就有全部罪責了。

『永恆主你的上帝今日吩咐你遵行這些律例典章，所以你要全心全意地謹慎遵行。

就要謹慎遵行我今日所擺在你們面前的一切律例典章。

他說：『是的，還不如聽上帝的話而遵守的人為有福呢！』

你們、就是我的朋友，如果你們實行我所命令你們的。

末了，弟兄們，我們在主耶穌裏求你們，勸你們——你們既從我們領受了主的話，知道該怎樣行、讓上帝喜歡，你們也真地這樣行——我就勸你們要更加力行。你們原知道、我們憑藉着主耶穌、曾將甚麼囑咐的話傳給你們。
