則必舉爾於高、勝於所造四方之億兆、肇錫嘉名、加以尊榮、可為聖民、以事爾上帝耶和華、循其所許。

He has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honor high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.

He has announced that he will make you famous. He’ll give you more praise and honor than all the other nations he has made. And he has said that you will be a holy nation. The Lord your God has set you apart for himself. That’s exactly what he promised to do.

「因為你是屬於耶和華－你上帝神聖的子民；耶和華－你的上帝從地面上的萬民中揀選你，作自己寶貴的子民。

「你若留心聽從耶和華－你上帝的話，謹守遵行他的一切誡命，就是我今日所吩咐你的，他必使你超乎地上的萬國之上。

人稱他們為「聖民」，為「耶和華救贖的民」，你也必稱為「受眷顧的」，為「不被撇棄的城」。

你們要歸我作祭司的國度，為神聖的國民。』這些話你要告訴以色列人。」

不過，你們是被揀選的一族，是君尊的祭司，是神聖的國度，是屬上帝的子民，要使你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。

哪一大國有神明與他們相近，像耶和華－我們的上帝在我們求告他的時候與我們相近呢？哪一大國有這樣公義的律例典章，像我今日在你們面前所頒佈的這一切律法呢？

你們作為活石，要被建造成屬靈的殿，成為聖潔的祭司，藉着耶穌基督獻上蒙上帝悅納的屬靈祭物。

這城在地上萬國面前要因我的緣故，以喜樂得名，得頌讚，得榮耀，因為他們聽見我所賞賜的一切福樂。他們因我向這城所施的一切福樂平安，就懼怕戰兢。」

那時，看哪，我必對付所有苦待你的人，拯救瘸腿的，召集被趕出的；那些在全地受羞辱的，我必使他們得稱讚，享名聲。

你若謹守耶和華－你上帝的誡命，遵行他的道，他必照他向你所起的誓立你為自己神聖的子民。

我也把環子戴在你鼻上，耳環在你耳上，華冠在你頭上。這樣，你就有金銀的首飾，穿的是細麻衣和精緻衣料，以及錦繡衣裳；吃的是細麵、蜂蜜和油。你也極其美貌，配登王后之位。你美貌的名聲傳到列國，因我加給你榮華，使你完美。這是主耶和華說的。

他高舉自己百姓的角，使他的聖民以色列人，就是與他相近的百姓得榮耀。哈利路亞！

他們要將你們的弟兄從列國中帶回，或騎馬，或坐車，或乘蓬車，或騎騾子，或騎獨峯駝，到我的聖山耶路撒冷，作為供物獻給耶和華。這是耶和華說的。正如以色列人用潔淨的器皿盛供物奉到耶和華的殿中，我也必從他們中間立人作祭司，作利未人。這是耶和華說的。

腰帶怎樣緊貼人的腰，照樣，我也曾使以色列全家和猶大全家緊貼着我，歸我為子民，使我得名聲，得頌讚，得榮耀；他們卻不肯聽從。這是耶和華說的。」

你若聽從耶和華－你上帝的誡命，就是我今日所吩咐你的，謹守遵行，耶和華就必使你作首不作尾，居上不居下，
