The Lord your God commands you this day to follow these decrees and laws; carefully observe them with all your heart and with all your soul.

“你們活在地上的一切日子，在耶和華你列祖的神賜給你作產業的地上，要謹守遵行的律例和典章，就是這些：

“如果你們愛我，就要遵守我的命令。

“以色列人哪，現在你們要聽我向來教訓你們遵行的律例和典章，使你們可以活著，可以進去得著耶和華你們列祖的神賜給你們的地作產業。我吩咐你們的話，你們不可增加，也不可減少，好使你們遵守我吩咐你們的，就是耶和華你們的神的命令。耶和華因巴力．毗珥的事所行的，你們都親眼看見了；所有跟隨巴力．毗珥的人，耶和華你們的神都從你們中間消滅了。只有你們緊緊倚靠耶和華你們的神的人，今日全都活著。看哪，我照著耶和華我的神吩咐我的，把律例和典章教訓你們，好讓你們在將要進去得為業的地上遵行。所以你們要謹守遵行，因為在萬民的眼中看來，這就是你們的智慧和聰明；他們一聽見這一切律例，就必定說：‘這大國的人真是有智慧，有聰明啊。’

你不可聽從那先知或作夢的人的話；因為耶和華你們的神試驗你們，要知道你們是不是一心一意愛耶和華你們的神。你們要順從耶和華你們的神，敬畏他，遵守他的誡命，聽從他的話，事奉他，緊靠他。

那領受我的命令，並且遵守的，就是愛我的；愛我的，我父必定愛他，我也要愛他，並且要親自向他顯現。”猶大（不是加略人猶大）對耶穌說：“主啊，你為甚麼要親自向我們顯現，不向世人顯現呢？”耶穌回答：“人若愛我，就要遵守我的話，我父必定愛他，並且我們要到他那裡去，跟他住在一起。不愛我的，就不會遵守我的話。你們所聽見的道，不是我的，而是那差我來的父的道。

“所以你要愛耶和華你的神，常常遵守他的吩咐、律例、典章和誡命。

我吩咐你們的一切，都要教導他們遵守。這樣，我就常常與你們同在，直到這世代的終結。”

要謹慎遵守耶和華你們的神吩咐你的誡命、法度和律例。

你也要記念耶和華你的神這四十年在曠野引導你的一切路程，為要使你受苦，要試煉你，要知道你心裡怎樣，看看你肯守他的誡命不肯。

“我吩咐你們的一切話，你們都要謹守遵行，不可加添，也不可減少。”（本節在《馬索拉文本》為13:1）

“以下是耶和華你們的神吩咐我教導你們的誡命、律例、典章，使你們在將要過去佔領為業的地上遵行，

“所以你們要遵守我今日吩咐你的一切誡命，使你們堅強起來，可以進去得著你們將要過去得的那地，

你要全心、全性、全力愛耶和華你的神。

但你們在那裡必尋求耶和華你的神；如果你一心一意尋找他，就必尋見。
