When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

When you are gathering crops in your field, you might leave some grain behind by mistake. Don’t go back to get it. Leave it behind for outsiders and widows. Leave it for children whose fathers have died. Then the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.

分餅於饑者、納流離之貧民於己家、見裸者則衣之、勿掩面不顧爾之骨肉、則爾之光明、必發如晨光、爾速得醫治、爾之仁義、護爾於前、主之榮光、護爾於後、其時爾祈禱、主必應允、爾呼籲、主必云、我在此、如爾於爾中除壓人之軛、不指摘、不妄言、向饑餓者發仁心、使困苦者得滿其志、則爾光必發於暗、爾暗必變如日午、主恆導爾以行、在旱乾時、使爾滿志、使爾筋骸堅固、使爾如灌溉之園囿、如永不竭之泉源、

惟爾設饌、當請貧乏、殘廢、跛者、瞽者、則爾福矣、蓋彼不能報爾、而至義人復活時、爾必得報、○

則當於主爾之天主前敬告曰、我已以聖物出於我家、給利未人與客旅孤寡、循主所諭我、主之命令、我未干犯、亦未遺忘、

顧恤貧窮者、此人便為有福、在患難時、必蒙主拯救、主保祐之、存留其生命、使其在世享福、仇敵欲害之、主必不容彼稱願、臥病在床、主必扶持之、患病之時、主使之寢臥安適、

英明人設英明之謀、恆心行英明之事、○

爾撲油果樹、枝有遺果、不可再撲、當留於客旅孤寡、爾摘葡萄園之果、不可再摘所遺者、當留於客旅孤寡、
