When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

When you are gathering crops in your field, you might leave some grain behind by mistake. Don’t go back to get it. Leave it behind for outsiders and widows. Leave it for children whose fathers have died. Then the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.

善待窮人等於借貸給耶和華，耶和華必回報他的善行。

讓你們城中沒有土地的利未人、寄居者和孤兒寡婦都可以來吃飽。這樣，你們的上帝耶和華必使你們凡事蒙福。

有人樂善好施，反倒越來越富；有人一毛不拔，反而越來越窮。慷慨好施的必得昌盛，恩待他人的必蒙恩待。

把你們的食物分給饑餓的人，接待無家可歸的窮人，送衣服給赤身露體的人，不躲避求助的親人。如果你們這樣做，你們的光必如晨光照耀，你們的創傷必迅速痊癒，你們的公義必在前方為你們開路，耶和華的榮耀必在後面保護你們。你們求告，我必應允；你們呼求，我必回應。如果你們不再欺壓、指責、譭謗，如果你們給饑餓的人食物，扶助困苦的人，你們的光必照亮黑暗，你們的黑夜必變成正午。耶和華必不斷地引導你們，使你們在乾旱之地也能得到供應，筋骨強健。你們必像灌溉充足的園子，又像湧流不息的泉源。

相反，你設宴時，要邀請貧窮的、殘疾的、瘸腿的、瞎眼的，這樣你就有福了，因為他們都沒有能力回報你，到了義人復活那天，上帝一定會賞賜你。」

然後，你們要在你們的上帝耶和華面前宣告，『我們已經按照你的誡命，從我們家裡拿出聖物分給利未人、寄居者和孤兒寡婦。我們沒有觸犯也沒有忘記你的任何誡命。

善待窮人的有福了！耶和華必救他們脫離困境。耶和華必保護他們，救他們的性命，使他們在地上享福，不讓仇敵惡謀得逞。他們生病在床，耶和華必看顧，使他們康復。

高尚的人計劃高尚的事，在高尚的事上持之以恆。

你們打橄欖時，打過一次後不可再打，要把剩下的留給孤兒寡婦和寄居者。你們摘葡萄時，摘過一次後不可再摘，要把剩下的留給孤兒寡婦和寄居者。

他慷慨施捨，賙濟窮人；他的仁義永遠長存，他必充滿力量，得享尊榮。

要記住：「少種的少收，多種的多收。」各人心裡想捐多少就捐多少，不要勉強，不要為難。因為捐得甘心樂意的人才是上帝所喜愛的。上帝能夠將各樣的恩典多多賜給你們，使你們在各方面常常富足有餘，可以多行各樣的善事。

耶和華賜給約伯晚年的福分比起初更多：他有一萬四千隻羊、六千隻駱駝、一千對牛和一千頭母驢。

如果一個豐衣足食的人看見貧窮的弟兄姊妹，卻毫無憐憫之心，怎能說他愛上帝呢？所以，孩子們啊，不要單在口頭上說愛人，總要以真誠的行動表現出來。這樣，我們必知道自己屬於真理，即使我們心中自責，也可以在上帝面前心安，因為上帝比我們的心大，祂知道一切。

你們要給他人，這樣上帝必給你們，並且會用大號升斗搖勻壓實，滿滿地倒給你們，因為你們用什麼樣的量器量給別人，上帝也會用什麼樣的量器量給你們。」

你們要慷慨給予，並且無怨無悔，因為耶和華必在你們所做的一切事上賜福給你們。

我何曾拒絕窮人的請求，或使寡婦眼露失望之情，或獨吞我的食物，不與孤兒同享？我自幼就如父親般撫養孤兒，我自出母胎就照顧寡婦。倘若我見有人凍得要死，或有窮人衣不蔽體，卻沒有把我的羊毛給他們禦寒，以致他們向我道謝；倘若我仗著在城門口有勢力，就動手欺負孤兒，情願我的肩膀從肩胛脫落，我的手臂從手肘折斷。

藐視鄰舍是罪過，憐憫窮人蒙福樂。

「然而，要愛你們的仇敵，善待他們；無論借出什麼，都不要指望歸還。這樣，你們將有大賞賜，並且將成為至高者的兒子，因為祂以恩慈待那些忘恩負義和作惡的人。

甚至要從麥捆中抽一些出來讓她撿，不要責罵她。」
