Do not take advantage of a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether that worker is a fellow Israelite or a foreigner residing in one of your towns.

Don’t take advantage of any hired worker who is poor and needy. That applies to your own people. It also applies to outsiders living in one of your towns.

“ You shall not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the sojourners who are in your land within your towns.

“ Never take advantage of poor and destitute laborers, whether they are fellow Israelites or foreigners living in your towns.

“ Do not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether one of your Israelite brothers or one of the resident aliens in a town in your land.

“ You shall not exploit a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your countrymen or one of your strangers who are in your land in your towns.

“ You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether one of your brethren or one of the aliens who is in your land within your gates.

Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy sojourners that are in thy land within thy gates:

You must not oppress a lowly and poor servant, whether one from among your fellow Israelites or from the resident foreigners who are living in your land and villages.

You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the foreigners who are in your land within your gates.

萬軍之耶和華說：「我必臨近你們，施行審判。我必速速作見證，警戒行邪術的、犯姦淫的、起假誓的、虧負人之工價的、欺壓寡婦孤兒的、屈枉寄居的，和不敬畏我的。」

欺壓貧寒的，是辱沒造他的主；憐憫窮乏的，乃是尊敬主。

欺壓貧窮為要利己的，並送禮與富戶的，都必缺乏。

你們住撒馬利亞山如巴珊母牛的啊，當聽我的話－你們欺負貧寒的，壓碎窮乏的，對家主說：拿酒來，我們喝吧！

他們見窮人頭上所蒙的灰也都垂涎，阻礙謙卑人的道路。父子同一個女子行淫，褻瀆我的聖名。

我的僕婢與我爭辯的時候，我若藐視不聽他們的情節；神興起，我怎樣行呢？他察問，我怎樣回答呢？造我在腹中的，不也是造他嗎？將他與我摶在腹中的豈不是一位嗎？

使人赤身無衣，到處流行，且因飢餓扛擡禾捆，在那些人的圍牆內造油，醡酒，自己還口渴。

「你的弟兄在你那裏若漸漸貧窮，手中缺乏，你就要幫補他，使他與你同住，像外人和寄居的一樣。不可向他取利，也不可向他多要；只要敬畏你的神，使你的弟兄與你同住。你借錢給他，不可向他取利；借糧給他，也不可向他多要。我是耶和華－你們的神，曾領你們從埃及地出來，為要把迦南地賜給你們，要作你們的神。」「你的弟兄若在你那裏漸漸窮乏，將自己賣給你，不可叫他像奴僕服事你。他要在你那裏像雇工人和寄居的一樣，要服事你直到禧年。到了禧年，他和他兒女要離開你，一同出去歸回本家，到他祖宗的地業那裏去。因為他們是我的僕人，是我從埃及地領出來的，不可賣為奴僕。不可嚴嚴地轄管他，只要敬畏你的神。

「你弟兄中，若有一個希伯來男人或希伯來女人被賣給你，服事你六年，到第七年就要任他自由出去。你任他自由的時候，不可使他空手而去，要從你羊羣、禾場、酒醡之中多多地給他；耶和華－你的神怎樣賜福與你，你也要照樣給他。要記念你在埃及地作過奴僕，耶和華－你的神將你救贖；因此，我今日吩咐你這件事。他若對你說：『我不願意離開你』，是因他愛你和你的家，且因在你那裏很好，你就要拿錐子將他的耳朵在門上刺透，他便永為你的奴僕了。你待婢女也要這樣。你任他自由的時候，不可以為難事，因他服事你六年，較比雇工的工價多加一倍了。耶和華－你的神就必在你所做的一切事上賜福與你。」

在你中間有輕慢父母的，有欺壓寄居的，有虧負孤兒寡婦的。

你們這些要吞吃窮乏人、使困苦人衰敗的，當聽我的話！

你們要住在那家，吃喝他們所供給的，因為工人得工價是應當的；不要從這家搬到那家。
