Do not despise an Edomite, for the Edomites are related to you. Do not despise an Egyptian, because you resided as foreigners in their country.

Don’t hate the people of Edom. They are your relatives. Don’t hate the people of Egypt. After all, you lived as outsiders in their country.

and the land of Egypt is before you; settle your father and your brothers in the best part of the land. Let them live in Goshen. And if you know of any among them with special ability, put them in charge of my own livestock.” (niv)

Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ Tell your brothers,‘ Do this: Load your animals and return to the land of Canaan,and bring your father and your families back to me. I will give you the best of the land of Egypt and you can enjoy the fat of the land.’ (niv)
