But once you have voluntarily made a vow, be careful to fulfill your promise to the Lord your God.

但如果你们亲口许了愿，一定要向你们的上帝耶和华信守诺言。

言已出口、於主爾之天主前許願獻禮物、則必守所言循之而行、○

Whatever your lips utter you must be sure to do, because you made your vow freely to the Lord your God with your own mouth.

Make sure you do what you promised to do. With your own mouth you made the promise to the Lord your God. No one forced you to do it.

You shall be careful to do what has passed your lips, for you have voluntarily vowed to the Lord your God what you have promised with your mouth.

Be careful to do whatever comes from your lips, because you have freely vowed what you promised to the LORD your God.

You shall be careful and perform what goes out of your lips, since in fact you have vowed a voluntary offering to the Lord your God, whatever you have promised.

That which has gone from your lips you shall keep and perform, for you voluntarily vowed to the Lord your God what you have promised with your mouth.

That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt observe and do; according as thou hast vowed unto Jehovah thy God, a freewill- offering, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.

Be careful to do whatever comes from your lips, because you have freely vowed what you promised to the Lord your God.

That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform;[ even] a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the LORD thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.

Whatever you vow, you must be careful to do what you have promised, such as what you have vowed to the LORD your God as a freewill offering.

You shall observe and do that which has gone out of your lips. Whatever you have vowed to Yahweh your God as a free will offering, which you have promised with your mouth, you must do.

Don’t trap yourself by making a rash promise to God and only later counting the cost.

When you make a promise to God, don’t delay in following through, for God takes no pleasure in fools. Keep all the promises you make to him.It is better to say nothing than to make a promise and not keep it.

When he saw her, he tore his clothes in anguish.“ Oh, my daughter!” he cried out.“ You have completely destroyed me! You’ve brought disaster on me! For I have made a vow to the Lord, and I cannot take it back.”

But don’t do it! There are more than forty men hiding along the way ready to ambush him. They have vowed not to eat or drink anything until they have killed him. They are ready now, just waiting for your consent.”

And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord. He said,“ If you give me victory over the Ammonites,I will give to the Lord whatever comes out of my house to meet me when I return in triumph. I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering.”

Then his daughter, also named Herodias, came in and performed a dance that greatly pleased Herod and his guests.“ Ask me for anything you like,” the king said to the girl,“ and I will give it to you.”He even vowed,“ I will give you whatever you ask, up to half my kingdom!”

And she made this vow:“ O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, if you will look upon my sorrow and answer my prayer and give me a son, then I will give him back to you. He will be yours for his entire lifetime, and as a sign that he has been dedicated to the Lord, his hair will never be cut.”

I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people—

The next morning a group of Jews got together and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul.

Now the men of Israel were pressed to exhaustion that day, because Saul had placed them under an oath, saying,“ Let a curse fall on anyone who eats before evening— before I have full revenge on my enemies.” So no one ate anything all day,

This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says:‘ You and your wives have said,“ We will keep our promises to burn incense and pour out liquid offerings to the Queen of Heaven,” and you have proved by your actions that you meant it. So go ahead and carry out your promises and vows to her!’“ But listen to this message from the Lord, all you Judeans now living in Egypt:‘ I have sworn by my great name,’ says the Lord,‘ that my name will no longer be spoken by any of the Judeans in the land of Egypt. None of you may invoke my name or use this oath:“ As surely as the Sovereign Lord lives.”For I will watch over you to bring you disaster and not good. Everyone from Judah who is now living in Egypt will suffer war and famine until all of you are dead.

Now I come to your Temple with burnt offerings to fulfill the vows I made to you—yes, the sacred vows that I made when I was in deep trouble.

A man who makes a vow to the Lord or makes a pledge under oath must never break it. He must do exactly what he said he would do.
