You may charge interest to foreigners, but you may not charge interest to Israelites, so that the Lord your God may bless you in everything you do in the land you are about to enter and occupy.

You can charge interest to people from another country. But don’t charge your own people. Then the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do. He will bless you in the land you are entering to take as your own.

This release from debt, however, applies only to your fellow Israelites— not to the foreigners living among you.

“ You must not eat anything that has died a natural death. You may give it to a foreigner living in your town, or you may sell it to a stranger. But do not eat it yourselves, for you are set apart as holy to the Lord your God.“ You must not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.

“ Do not take advantage of foreigners who live among you in your land.Treat them like native born Israelites, and love them as you love yourself. Remember that you were once foreigners living in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

Then at the resurrection of the righteous, God will reward you for inviting those who could not repay you.”

If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord— and he will repay you!

If you will only obey me, you will have plenty to eat.

The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.
