Let them live among you wherever they like and in whatever town they choose. Do not oppress them.

『不可欺負寄居的，不可壓迫他，因為你們在埃及地也做過寄居的。

不可壓迫寄居的，因為你們在埃及地做過寄居的，你們知道寄居者的心理。

『獻謀略哦！行裁奪哦！使你的影子在午間如黑夜哦！將被趕散的人隱藏起來；不可顯露逃亡之民哦；讓摩押被趕散的人寄居在你中間哦；你做他們的匿身處吧，好讓他們躲避毁滅者的面。那麼勒索人的歸於無有，毁滅人的被消滅掉，踐踏人的從轄境內滅絕，

你們呢、反倒侮辱窮人。豈不是富足人壓制你們，拖你們上法庭麼？

於是他去投靠那地區的一個公民；那人打發他到田地裏去餵豬。他巴不得將豬所喫的豆莢來填滿了肚子；也沒有人接續地給他。他回悟過來，就說：「我父親有多少雇工，食物充足有餘，我倒在這裏因饑餓而喪命啊？我要起來，去見我父親，對他說：『父親，我犯罪違逆了天，也犯罪在你面前；再也不配稱為你的兒子了；把我當做你的一個雇工吧。』」就起來，直向他父親那裏走。還離得遠的時候，他父親看見，就動了憐憫的心，跑去撲在他的脖子上，熱切地和他親嘴。兒子對父親說：「父親，我犯罪違逆了天，也犯罪在你面前；再也不配稱為你的兒子了。」父親卻吩咐他的僕人說：「快把上好的袍子拿出來給他穿上，把戒指戴在他指頭上，把鞋穿在他腳上；把那隻肥牛犢牽來宰；我們喫喝快樂吧！因為我這個兒子死又再活了；失掉又得着了。」他們就歡躍起來。

寡婦和孤兒、寄居的和困苦人、你們都不可欺壓，誰都不可心裏圖謀壞事以害弟兄。』

不欺壓寄居的、或孤兒寡婦，不在這地方流無辜人的血，不隨從別的神而陷害自己，

萬軍之永恆主說：『我必走近你們來行審判；我必做個敏捷果決的見證、來警戒行邪術的、犯姦淫的、起假誓的、在工價上欺壓雇工人的、欺壓寡婦孤兒的、屈枉寄居的；而他們竟不畏懼我。

不要毁謗人，不要爭吵，要溫良和藹，對一切人證顯出十二分的柔和。因為我們從前也是無知、悖逆、受了迷惑，做各種私慾和宴樂的奴僕，在惡毒和嫉妒中度生活，滿有恨心，彼此相恨。
