Let them live among you wherever they like and in whatever town they choose. Do not oppress them.

“求你给我们献谋略，作裁判！使你的影子在午间如同黑夜，把被赶逐的人隐藏起来，不可出卖逃亡的人。让摩押那些被赶逐的人与你同住，求你作他们的隐密处，使他们脱离毁灭者的面。勒索人的必要终止，毁灭人的也将止息，欺压人的必从这地灭绝；

然而你们却侮辱穷人。其实，那些欺压你们，拉你们上法庭的，不就是富足的人吗？

于是他去投靠当地的一个居民。那人打发他到田里去放猪，他恨不得吃猪所吃的豆荚，可是没有人给他。他醒悟过来，说：‘我父亲有那么多雇工，又有丰富的食物，我却要在这里饿死吗？我要起来，到我父亲那里去，对他说：爸爸，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，不配再称为你的儿子，把我当作一个雇工吧！’于是他起来往父亲那里去。他还在远处时，他父亲看见了他，就动了慈心，跑过去抱着他，连连与他亲吻。儿子说：‘爸爸，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，不配再称为你的儿子。’父亲却吩咐仆人说：‘快把那最好的袍子拿来给他穿，把戒指戴在他手上，把鞋穿在他脚上，把肥牛犊牵来宰了，我们要吃喝快乐，因为我这儿子是死而复活、失而又得的。’他们就欢乐起来。

寡妇、孤儿、寄居的和贫穷人，你们都不可欺压，也不可各自心里图谋恶事，陷害自己的兄弟。’

如果你们不欺压寄居的，不欺压孤儿寡妇，不在这地方流无辜人的血，也不跟从别的神，自招祸患；

万军之耶和华说：“我必临近你们施行审判；我要快快指证那些行邪术的、犯奸淫的、起假誓的、在工钱上欺压雇工的、欺压孤儿寡妇的、屈枉寄居的和不敬畏我的。”

不可毁谤人，要与人无争，谦恭有礼，向众人表现充分温柔的心。我们从前也是无知、不顺服、受了迷惑、被各种私欲和逸乐所奴役，生活在恶毒和嫉妒之中，是可憎可恶的，并且互相仇视。
