If you see your fellow Israelite’s donkey or ox fallen on the road, do not ignore it. Help the owner get it to its feet.

Suppose you see your neighbor’s donkey or ox that has fallen down on the road. Then don’t act as if you didn’t see it. Help the owner get it up on its feet again.

You shall not see your brother’s donkey or his ox fallen down by the way and ignore them. You shall help him to lift them up again.

那人要顯明自己有理，就對耶穌說：「誰是我的鄰舍呢？」耶穌回答說：「有一個人從耶路撒冷下耶利哥去，落在強盜手中。他們剝去他的衣裳，把他打個半死，就丟下他走了。偶然有一個祭司從這條路下來，看見他就從那邊過去了。又有一個利未人來到這地方，看見他，也照樣從那邊過去了。惟有一個撒馬利亞人行路來到那裏，看見他就動了慈心，上前用油和酒倒在他的傷處，包裹好了，扶他騎上自己的牲口，帶到店裏去照應他。第二天拿出二錢銀子來，交給店主，說：『你且照應他；此外所費用的，我回來必還你。』你想，這三個人哪一個是落在強盜手中的鄰舍呢？」他說：「是憐憫他的。」耶穌說：「你去照樣行吧。」

我們堅固的人應該擔代不堅固人的軟弱，不求自己的喜悅。

所以，你們要把下垂的手、發酸的腿挺起來；也要為自己的腳，把道路修直了，使瘸子不致歪腳，反得痊癒。

我也甘心樂意為你們的靈魂費財費力。難道我越發愛你們，就越發少得你們的愛嗎？

我們又勸弟兄們，要警戒不守規矩的人，勉勵灰心的人，扶助軟弱的人，也要向眾人忍耐。

只是我告訴你們，要愛你們的仇敵，為那逼迫你們的禱告。

「若遇見你仇敵的牛或驢失迷了路，總要牽回來交給他。若看見恨你人的驢壓臥在重馱之下，不可走開，務要和驢主一同擡開重馱。
