If you see your fellow Israelite’s donkey or ox fallen on the road, do not ignore it. Help the owner get it to its feet.

Suppose you see your neighbor’s donkey or ox that has fallen down on the road. Then don’t act as if you didn’t see it. Help the owner get it up on its feet again.

You shall not see your brother’s donkey or his ox fallen down by the way and ignore them. You shall help him to lift them up again.

弟兄姊妹，如果有人不慎犯了罪，你們順從聖靈的人就應該溫柔地挽回他，同時也要小心，免得自己也受誘惑。你們要分擔彼此的重擔，這樣就成全了基督的律法。

律法教師想證明自己有理，就問：「那麼，誰是我的鄰居呢？」耶穌回答說：「有個人從耶路撒冷去耶利哥，途中被劫。強盜剝了他的衣服，把他打個半死，丟在那裡，然後揚長而去。「剛好有位祭司經過，看見那人躺在地上，連忙從旁邊繞過，繼續趕路。又有個利未人經過，也跟先前那個祭司一樣從旁邊繞過去了。「後來，有位撒瑪利亞人經過，看見這個人，就動了慈心，連忙上前用油和酒替他敷傷口，包紮妥當，然後把他扶上自己騎的牲口，帶到附近的客店照料。次日還交給店主兩個銀幣，說，『請替我好好照顧這個人。如果錢不夠的話，等我回來再補給你。』那麼，你認為這三個人中誰是被劫者的鄰居呢？」律法教師說：「是那個同情他的人。」耶穌說：「你去照樣做吧。」

我們堅強的人要扶助軟弱的人，分擔他們的重擔，不該只顧自己的喜好。

所以，你們要舉起下垂的手，挺直發酸的腿，修直腳下的路，使瘸腿的人不致扭傷腳，反得痊癒。

為了你們的靈魂，我甘願付出，包括自己的生命。難道我越愛你們，就越得不到你們的愛嗎？

此外，我勸你們要告誡懶惰的人，鼓勵灰心的人，扶持軟弱的人，耐心對待所有的人。

但我告訴你們，要愛仇敵，為迫害你們的人禱告。

「倘若看見仇人的牛或驢走迷了路，總要牽回去交給他。倘若遇見仇人的驢被馱的重物壓倒，不可逕自走開，總要幫助仇人抬開重物。
