If you see your fellow Israelite’s ox or sheep straying, do not ignore it but be sure to take it back to its owner.

Suppose you see your neighbor’s ox or sheep wandering away. Then don’t act as if you didn’t see it. Instead, make sure you take it back to its owner.

爾中孰有百羊而亡其一、不姑舍九十九羊於野、而追其亡者至於得乎、得之則喜、負於肩、歸家、集其友與鄰謂之曰、爾與我同樂、以亡羊已得矣、

迷亡者我必尋之、被驅者我必返之、傷者我必裹之、弱者我必強之、惟肥者強者、我必除滅、除滅有作守之我必循理之所宜而牧之、

今主雖掩面不顧雅各家、我仍伺候主、仰望主、

分餅於饑者、納流離之貧民於己家、見裸者則衣之、勿掩面不顧爾之骨肉、

答曰、我奉遣而來、特為以色列家之亡羊耳、

弱者爾不強之、病者爾不醫之、傷者爾不裹之、被驅者爾不返之、迷亡者爾不尋之、惟待以強暴、以殘刻、

惟就以色列家之亡羊、

彼以子女獻摩洛、若本處之民、偽為不見而不殺之、

爾素如迷失之羊、今歸於爾靈之牧者、爾靈之監督矣、

爾意如何、人有百羊、迷失其一、豈不姑舍九十九羊於山、而往求其迷失者乎、或作豈不姑舍九十九羊而往於山求其迷失者乎若得之、我誠告爾、其為此一羊喜、較不迷失之九十九羊喜尤大、
