If you see your fellow Israelite’s ox or sheep straying, do not ignore it but be sure to take it back to its owner.

Suppose you see your neighbor’s ox or sheep wandering away. Then don’t act as if you didn’t see it. Instead, make sure you take it back to its owner.

弱者不扶之、疾者不醫之、受傷者不裹之、被驅者不反之、迷亡者不尋之、乃以強暴嚴酷制之、

寧就以色列家之亡羊也、

若斯土之民、見其獻子女於摩洛、佯為不見、不致之死、

蓋爾素如歧路之羊、今歸爾靈之司牧監督矣、

設人有百羊而亡其一、爾意若何、豈不姑舍九十九羊於山、往覓其亡乎、若遇之、我誠語汝、其為此一羊而喜、勝於為九十九之未亡者矣、
