然後禱告說，『我們的手沒有殺這人，我們的眼也沒有看見誰殺了他。

他們要應聲申明說：「這血我們的手未曾使它流過，我們的眼也未曾看見過。

曰、我手未流此血、我目亦未之見、

稱曰、此人非我所殺、其死非我所見、

禱曰、我手未流此人之血、我目亦未見之、

and they shall declare:“ Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see it done.

They’ll say to the Lord,“ We didn’t kill that person. We didn’t see it happen.

and they shall testify,‘ Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see it shed.

Then they must say,‘ Our hands did not shed this person’s blood, nor did we see it happen.

They will declare,‘ Our hands did not shed this blood; our eyes did not see it.

and they shall respond and say,‘ Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see who did.

Then they shall answer and say,‘ Our hands have not shed this blood, nor have our eyes seen it.

and they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it.

They will declare,‘ Our hands did not shed this blood; our eyes did not see it.

And they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen[ it].

Then they must proclaim,“ Our hands have not spilled this blood, nor have we witnessed the crime.

你流了扫罗全家的血，接替扫罗作王，耶和华已经把这罪报应在你身上；耶和华已经把这国交在你儿子押沙龙的手里。看哪！你现在自取其祸了，因为你是个流人血的人。”

耶和华我的神啊！如果我作了这事，如果我手中有罪孽，如果我以恶回报那与我为友的人，或是无故掠夺与我为敌的人，

他所行的，有谁敢当面指责他呢？他所作的，有谁能报应他呢？然而他被人抬到坟墓里，并且有人看守他的墓地。他以谷中的土块为甘甜，所有的人跟在他后面，走在他前面的不计其数。你们的回话既然只存虚假，怎样徒然安慰我呢？”

祭司要叫那妇人起誓，对她说：‘如果没有人与你同寝，作妻子时没有背弃丈夫被人玷污，你就免受这使人招致咒诅的苦水。但是，如果你作妻子时背弃了丈夫，被人玷污了；如果你在你的丈夫以外，曾与别的男人同寝’，这样，祭司就要叫那妇人发咒起誓，继续对她说：‘耶和华要使你的大腿消瘦，肚腹肿胀；愿耶和华叫你在你的族人中成为咒诅和起誓的话柄；愿这招致咒诅的水进入你的腹中，使你的肚腹肿胀，大腿消瘦。’那妇人要说：‘阿们、阿们。’“祭司要把这些咒诅的话写在卷上，又把所写的字洗在苦水里，又要叫那妇人喝这招致咒诅的苦水，这招致咒诅的水要进入她里面，就引起痛苦。祭司要从这妇人的手中取过那疑忌的素祭，把素祭在耶和华面前摇一摇，然后带到祭坛那里。祭司要从素祭中取出一把来，作为记念，放在祭坛上焚烧，然后才叫妇人喝这水。祭司叫她喝了这水以后，如果她被人玷污，对自己的丈夫不忠，这招致咒诅的水就必进入她里面，引起痛苦；她的肚腹必肿胀，大腿必消瘦；那妇人就要在她的族人中成为咒诅。但是，如果这妇人没有被玷污，而是贞洁的，就不致受害，并且要怀孕生子。

他的岁月既然断绝，他还会看顾自己身后的家吗？神既然审判那些在高位的，谁能把什么知识教给他呢？有人到死的时候仍然气力充足，享尽平静与安逸；
