Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshiping their gods, and you will sin against the Lord your God.

If you don’t destroy them, they’ll teach you to do all the things the Lord hates. He hates the way they worship their gods. If you do those things, you will sin against the Lord your God.

that they may not teach you to do according to all their abominable practices that they have done for their gods, and so you sin against the Lord your God.

This will prevent the people of the land from teaching you to imitate their detestable customs in the worship of their gods, which would cause you to sin deeply against the Lord your God.

so that they will not teach you to do all the same detestable practices of theirs which they have done for their gods, by which you would sin against the Lord your God.

They must not remain in your land, or else they will make you sin against me. If you serve their gods, it will be a snare for you.”

Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord; do not touch any unclean thing, and I will welcome you.

Do not be deceived:“ Bad company corrupts good morals.”

If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take note of that person; don’t associate with him, so that he may be ashamed.

They did not destroy the peoples as the LORD had commanded thembut mingled with the nations and adopted their ways.They served their idols, which became a snare to them.They sacrificed their sons and daughters to demons.They shed innocent blood— the blood of their sons and daughters whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; so the land became polluted with blood.They defiled themselves by their actions and prostituted themselves by their deeds.Therefore the LORD’s anger burned against his people, and he abhorred his own inheritance.

Don’t participate in the fruitless works of darkness, but instead expose them.

know for certain that the LORD your God will not continue to drive these nations out before you. They will become a snare and a trap for you, a sharp stick for your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you disappear from this good land the LORD your God has given you.

and their teaching will spread like gangrene. Hymenaeus and Philetus are among them.They have departed from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and are ruining the faith of some.

Therefore, I now say: I will not drive out these people before you. They will be thorns in your sides, and their gods will be a trap for you.”

and constant disagreement among people whose minds are depraved and deprived of the truth, who imagine that godliness is a way to material gain.

I will hold accountable whoever does not listen to my words that he speaks in my name.

For all the nations have drunk the wine of her sexual immorality, which brings wrath. The kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown wealthy from her sensuality and excess.Then I heard another voice from heaven: Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins or receive any of her plagues.For her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes.
