Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshiping their gods, and you will sin against the Lord your God.

If you don’t destroy them, they’ll teach you to do all the things the Lord hates. He hates the way they worship their gods. If you do those things, you will sin against the Lord your God.

that they may not teach you to do according to all their abominable practices that they have done for their gods, and so you sin against the Lord your God.

This will prevent the people of the land from teaching you to imitate their detestable customs in the worship of their gods, which would cause you to sin deeply against the Lord your God.

so that they won’t teach you to do all the detestable acts they do for their gods, and you sin against the LORD your God.

so that they will not teach you to do all the same detestable practices of theirs which they have done for their gods, by which you would sin against the Lord your God.

lest they teach you to do according to all their abominations which they have done for their gods, and you sin against the Lord your God.

那時，你要自己謹慎，不可在他們從你的面前被消滅以後，隨從他們的惡俗而陷入網羅，也不可求問他們的神，說：‘這些國的人怎樣事奉他們的神，我也要這樣行。’你不可向耶和華你的神這樣行，因為耶和華恨惡的一切可厭惡的事，他們都向他們的神行了，甚至把自己的兒女用火焚燒，獻給他們的神。

不可讓他們住在你的境內，恐怕他們使你得罪我；如果你事奉他們的神，這必成為你的網羅。”

所以，“主說：你們要從他們中間出來，和他們分開，不可觸摸不潔淨的東西，我就收納你們。”

因為他必使你的兒子離開我，去事奉別的神，以致耶和華向你們發烈怒，就快快地把你們消滅。你們卻要這樣待他們：拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的神柱，砍下他們的亞舍拉，用火焚燒他們的雕像。

又恐怕你給你的兒子娶他們的女兒為妻，他們的女兒隨從自己的神行邪淫的時候，使你的兒子也隨從她們的神行邪淫。

你們不要自欺，“濫交朋友是會敗壞品德的。”

如果有人不聽從我們這封信上的訓勉，要把這個人記下來，不可和他來往，好叫他自己覺得慚愧。

他們沒有照著耶和華吩咐他們的，滅絕外族的人民，反而和外族人混居雜處，學習他們的風俗習慣。他們又事奉外族人的偶像，這就成了他們的網羅。他們把自己的兒女祭祀鬼魔。他們流了無辜人的血，就是他們自己兒女的血，把他們祭祀迦南的偶像；那地就被血污穢了。這樣，他們因自己所作的成了不潔，他們的行為使他們犯了邪淫。所以耶和華的怒氣向他的子民發作；他厭惡自己的產業，

不要參與暗昧無益的事，倒要把它揭露出來，

你們就必知道，耶和華你們的神必不再把這些國家從你們面前趕出去；他們必要成為你們的網羅和陷阱，肋下的鞭和眼中的刺，直到你們從耶和華你們的神賜給你們的這美地上滅亡為止。

他們的話好像毒瘤一樣蔓延；他們當中有許米乃和腓理徒。他們偏離了真道，說復活的事已經過去了，於是毀壞了一些人的信心。

因此我又說：‘我必不把他們從你們面前趕走，他們要作你們的敵人（按照《馬索拉文本》，“敵人”作“邊旁”，意思不明確，或譯﹕“網羅”﹔現參照各古譯本翻譯），他們的神要作你們的網羅。’”

就和那些心術敗壞，喪失真理的人不斷地爭吵。他們視敬虔為得利的門路。

如果有人不聽從他奉我的名所說的話，我必親自追討那人的罪。

因為各國都喝她淫亂烈怒的酒醉了；地上的君王與她行淫，世上的商人因她奢華揮霍就發了財。”我聽見另一個聲音從天上來，說：“從那城出來吧，我的子民！免得在她的罪上有分，受她所受的災難；因為她的罪惡滔天，神已經想起她的不義來。
