免彼教爾、效其行於諸神可惡之事、致獲罪於爾上帝耶和華、○

彼奉其上帝、行諸可惡之事、爾若則效之、即干犯爾之上帝耶和華。

免彼誘爾效其所為可惡之事、即拜其神所為之事、致爾獲罪於主爾之天主、○

Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshiping their gods, and you will sin against the Lord your God.

If you don’t destroy them, they’ll teach you to do all the things the Lord hates. He hates the way they worship their gods. If you do those things, you will sin against the Lord your God.

that they may not teach you to do according to all their abominable practices that they have done for their gods, and so you sin against the Lord your God.

This will prevent the people of the land from teaching you to imitate their detestable customs in the worship of their gods, which would cause you to sin deeply against the Lord your God.

so that they won’t teach you to do all the detestable acts they do for their gods, and you sin against the LORD your God.

so that they will not teach you to do all the same detestable practices of theirs which they have done for their gods, by which you would sin against the Lord your God.

lest they teach you to do according to all their abominations which they have done for their gods, and you sin against the Lord your God.

that they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so would ye sin against Jehovah your God.

so that they won’t teach you to do all the detestable things they do for their gods, and you sin against the Lord your God.

so that they cannot teach you all the abhorrent ways they worship their gods, causing you to sin against the LORD your God.

that they not teach you to follow all their abominations, which they have done for their gods; so would you sin against Yahweh your God.

and after they have been destroyed before you, be careful not to be ensnared by inquiring about their gods, saying,“ How do these nations serve their gods? We will do the same.”You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods. (niv)

Do not let them live in your land or they will cause you to sin against me, because the worship of their gods will certainly be a snare to you.” (niv)

Therefore,“ Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” (niv)

for they will turn your children away from following me to serve other gods, and the Lord’s anger will burn against you and will quickly destroy you.This is what you are to do to them: Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones, cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols in the fire. (niv)

And when you choose some of their daughters as wives for your sons and those daughters prostitute themselves to their gods, they will lead your sons to do the same. (niv)

Do not be misled:“ Bad company corrupts good character.” (niv)

Take special note of anyone who does not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them, in order that they may feel ashamed. (niv)

They did not destroy the peoples as the Lord had commanded them,but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them.They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to false gods.They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was desecrated by their blood.They defiled themselves by what they did; by their deeds they prostituted themselves.Therefore the Lord was angry with his people and abhorred his inheritance. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. (niv)

then you may be sure that the Lord your God will no longer drive out these nations before you. Instead, they will become snares and traps for you, whips on your backs and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from this good land, which the Lord your God has given you. (niv)

Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,who have departed from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and they destroy the faith of some. (niv)

And I have also said,‘ I will not drive them out before you; they will become traps for you, and their gods will become snares to you.’” (niv)

and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. (niv)

I myself will call to account anyone who does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name. (niv)

For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.”Then I heard another voice from heaven say:“‘ Come out of her, my people,’ so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes.
