Do not provoke them to war, for I will not give you any of their land, not even enough to put your foot on. I have given Esau the hill country of Seir as his own.

你必被赶逐，离开人群，和野地的走兽同住；你必像牛一样吃草，要经过七年的时期；等到你承认至高者在世人的国中掌权，他喜欢把国赐给谁，就赐给谁。”

至高者把地业赐给列国的时候，把人类分开的时候，就照着以色列子孙的数目，立定了万民的境界。

你必被赶逐，离开人群，和野地的走兽同住；你必像牛一样吃草，被天露滴湿，要经过七年的时期；等到你承认至高者在世人的国中掌权，他喜欢把国赐给谁，就赐给谁。

他从一个本源造出了万族来，使他们住在整个大地上，并且定了他们的期限和居住的疆界，

是我用大能和伸出来的膀臂创造了大地，以及地面上的人和兽；我看给谁适合，就把地给谁。

现在这里有亚扪人、摩押人和西珥山的人，从前以色列人从埃及地出来的时候，你不许以色列人侵犯他们。那时，以色列人就离开了他们，不除灭他们。现在你看，他们怎样报复我们；他们要来把我们从你赐给我们承受作产业的地赶出去。我们的神啊，你不惩罚他们吗？因为我们没有力量抵挡这来攻打我们的大军；我们也不知道该作什么；我们的眼睛只有仰望你。”

在这里神并没有赐他产业，连立足之地也没有。但神应许把这地赐给他和他的后裔为业，虽然那时他还没有儿子。
