From the Desert of Kedemoth I sent messengers to Sihon king of Heshbon offering peace and saying,

I sent messengers from the Desert of Kedemoth. I told them to go to Sihon, the king of Heshbon. They offered him peace. They said,

雅雜、基底莫、米法押、

進他家時，要向那家請安。那家若配得平安，你們所求的平安就臨到那家；若不配得，你們所求的平安仍歸你們。凡不接待你們，不聽你們話的人，你們離開那家，或是那城的時候，要跺掉你們腳上的塵土。我實在告訴你們，在審判的日子，所多瑪和蛾摩拉地方所受的，比那城還容易受呢！」

基底莫和城的郊外，以及米法押和城的郊外，共四座城。

無論進哪一家，先要說：『願這一家平安。』那裏若有當得平安的人，你們所求的平安就必臨到那家，不然，將歸還你們。

無論進哪一城，人若不接待你們，你們就到大街上去，說：『就是你們城裏的塵土黏在我們的腳上，我們也當着你們擦去。但是，你們該知道上帝的國臨近了。』我告訴你們，在那日子，所多瑪所受的，比那城還容易受呢！」

「你來到一座城，要攻城之前，先向它宣告和平。那城若願意以和平回應，給你開城，城裏所有的人就要為你做苦工，服事你。
